Europe with Arbnori and the PD

The West is worried about the health of Europe’s Mandela and in favor of his ideals, the “idle defender of the strikers” Smiles and the spirit of protest are seen in the square in front of the Democratic Party headquarters F.MN: Two for the government of Command The anti-democratic and institutional fund focuses on the cancellation of parties in parliamentary passing. Individual groups are coming out into the square. The media, with the propaganda that promoted the left-wing revanchism, were shaken and have begun to understand reality. One of the strongest columns of the opposition hawk press in the comparison of the Balkans has challenged the government and its hope. Yesterday, the Italian daily, baptized as the agency/analysis of its correspondent specially sent to Albania, called him “Europe’s Mandela.” Commentator Sandro Viola begins with this paragraph: “Rent a plane and bring him quickly to Rome, even if dead, was the open advice on the Albanian state television channel to Prime Minister Fatos Nano. Who brought the climate of intolerance and hatred this far? Sali Berisha? Fatos Nano? The others? Arbnori? Or peace?” He then offers these comments. “Nano was so pale in the face, bitter, and tired that he found relief only in lashing out his tongue against the opposition, which would lower his tension. As seems to be the case even in the foreign press, his figure is representing a power that lacks moral legitimacy.” Further on, the foreign correspondent writes that Nano’s departure as immaturity with the people “did nothing but increase dissatisfaction.” If he had had any dose of tolerance and wisdom, he would have shown statesmanship, but so far he has spoken like a party member. The comments continue with a listing of reactions from Italy, France, Germany, and other European countries to Arbnori’s serious health condition. At the center remains the concern that his health is becoming a political symbol of a battle for democracy. The Albanian government disinforms about Arbnori’s strike Pavel Zëfi has lied to foreign diplomats In the days when the dangers of the hunger strike are ravaging Arbnori’s body, Greek officials are trying to hide behind lies and a propaganda cover. A revived diplomatic voice, the deputy foreign minister, Pavel Zëfi, has clearly manipulated the truths related to the event. Zëfi has made statements that have nothing to do with the strike or with the opposition’s demands. Addressing the diplomatic corps, he has tried to present everything as an ordinary party conflict. He suggested to foreign diplomats that Arbnori, as a political prisoner of communism, is being misused by the PD to create tension. This interpretation has been opposed by opposition representatives, who stressed that the strike is a personal and political act by Arbnori. Zëfi tried to relativize the government’s responsibility for the situation created. In diplomatic circles this has caused cool reactions. Pavel Zëfi has lied to foreign diplomats The Albanian government disinforms about Arbnori’s strike Regarding Arbnori’s strike, the deputy foreign minister Pavel Zëfi has misinformed the press and diplomats in Tirana. He suggested to television stations and agencies that the former speaker of Parliament is being held hostage by opposition forces. Sources close to the PD call this an unacceptable fabrication. The same sources emphasize that the government is trying to turn a humanitarian problem into a propaganda war. In reactions from abroad, it is noted that the European media has defined Arbnori as a figure embodying Albanian anti-communist resistance. This has increased pressure on the Nano government, which is criticized for a lack of sensitivity and political arrogance. Albanian-American On American relations On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations By Dr. Leonard M. Swettower / PD International Relations On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and the United States of America, it is worth mentioning some historical moments and new prospects for cooperation. Albanian-American relations have gone through trials, but they have preserved an important axis: American support for the democratic aspirations of Albanians. From the period of independence to the transition of the 1990s, the United States has played a special role in the Albanian question. Today, at a time when Albania seeks stable democratic institutions, the partnership with America is seen as a guarantee of modernization and integration. Gjumëar visits Arbnori in intensive care

The Albanian government disinforms about Arbnori’s strike

Pav[l] Zëfi has lied to foreign diplomats Pavl Zëfi has lied to foreign diplomats At a meeting with the diplomatic corps in Tirana, the deputy foreign minister, Pavel Zëfi, made statements that, according to the opposition, distort the reality of Pjetër Arbnori’s hunger strike. He suggested to the foreign ambassadors that Arbnori is being held by political forces at the PD headquarters and that his demands are politically motivated. Arbnori, according to this explanation, is in a serious health condition, which gives the article an alarming tone. Sources within the PD say these statements are slander and an attempt to shift attention away from the government’s responsibility. Photo: Gjumbar visits Arbnori in intensive care
