Here are the Socialists’ big robberies

Albanians must know who took the money from the usurious schemes. The state list of tainted politicians, the Socialist Party remains silent about the implicated officials Here are the Socialists’ big robberies Aben Malaj benefited by 10 million at “Cenaj” and bought the Vlora refrigerator plant. How the Finance Minister’s debt took 402 million drachmas from “VEFA”? Skënder Gjinushi benefited, by signature, from Kristo Ceno, over 220 million lek. “Cenaj,” what a debt cost “Xheno,” 120 million lira from “Gjillica.” Where did Majko find the 220 thousand dollars and the thing after the “tezos.” Where will Doke Hidroargo open his mouth? What are Farudin Arapi’s relations with the firms “Cenaj,” “Xhaferri” and “Gjillica”? Where does Nuno find the money to make 3-thousand-dollar gifts, like Aben Malaj’s golden watch? France supports the return of normality to Albania

Berisha begins his visit in Paris A high-level delegation of the Republican[?]-Christian Democratic Party, led by its president Sabri Godo, held a meeting yesterday at the “Sheraton” hotel with the chairman of the Socialist Parliamentary Group of France, Jean Auroux, and a delegation of his group. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Tritan Shehu. At the meeting, the president of the Republican Party, Sabri Godo, informed Mr. Auroux about the help that the Republican Party has given France during the French presidential and parliamentary elections, inviting him to Albania. For his part, Mr. Auroux assured Mr. Godo that his group and he personally would help and support Albania in overcoming the tense situation it is currently in. “We will give 100 percent of our support so that you can reach the state of calm this country deserves. You should know that France helped you a great deal, and with the arrival of the Socialists in power there has been a certain slowing down; nevertheless, we salute your constructive role in the Albanian opposition and the struggle you are waging to bring Albania back to normality, which is important not only for Albania, but also for the region, which is destabilized,” Mr. Auroux said. He then told the press that in September he would come to Tirana for an official visit. Meanwhile, yesterday the chairman of the Democratic Party, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, also arrived in France, where he will hold talks with high-ranking officials of the French Republic and with the main political parties. The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the PDS Parliamentary Group, Ylli Vejsiu, and the head of the parliamentary group of the Republican Party, Dashamir Shehi. During his visit to France, Dr. Berisha will have numerous contacts with personalities in the country, to whom he will make clear what is happening today in Albania. Dr. Berisha’s visit is of particular importance also because France currently holds the presidency of the European Union, and Berisha aims to place the Albanian issue in the focus of Paris diplomacy, in the framework of the unsolved crisis the country is going through. Another focus of Dr. Berisha’s talks in Paris will be support for the Kosovo cause as a key element for the stability of the region and Europe.

The network of rent-seeking firms

The market shows that within Ben Blushi’s responsibility there has been, and continues to be, intense activity in trading and in criminal theft of state property. During the last government, with the leaders Musa Ulqini with “Tirana,” Kastriot Islami, and with the second part of the socialist government also including Ylli Bufi, purchases, privatizations, share deals, and high-value transactions have been as suspicious as they have been chaotic and scandalous. It is enough to recall a few cases: for example, the privatization of the Tirana flour factory, where people close to power benefited; the story of the Vlora refrigerator plant; the sale and leasing of strategic facilities; interventions in banks, customs, and profitable enterprises. All this shows that a network of private interests has operated under the protection of the state and to its detriment. The beneficiaries are not random, but linked to the left-wing political leadership. In this context, names such as Ben Blushi, Kastriot Islami, Ylli Bufi and others are mentioned. They have been part of a broader scheme in which rent-seeking firms and their clientele have taken control of important economic sectors. The opposition demands a full parliamentary and criminal investigation into all these actions and transparency for public opinion. Continued on page 3

Shijak, a vote against betrayal and thieves

Strong support for Hali Shmoqi, the candidate of “union for democracy”. Berisha: only the unity of all anti-communists and patriots “The government does not publish the names of PL-S officials because most of them today are its collaborators in smuggling and robbery.” Genc Fruli: every day that passes is too late; anyone at the head of a financing institution should be dismissed, because they are killing the scattered[?] Albanians.
