The Democratic Party is confident of a sweeping victory on June 21. Now, two days before the vote, this is clear in all the areas where voting will take place, and also to all Albanians who see the signal of victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The DP’s victory now comes not merely as an increase in the number of Democrats throughout the country and in support for its alternatives, but as a national necessity. It is connected with the naturalness of a government that looks after the country’s interests and not the interests of others at the country’s expense, as this government does; it is connected with removing thieves and swindlers from the leadership of the state, and keeping criminals and bandits out of the offices that govern the country. Throughout the marathon of the election campaign, DP leaders once again verified the support the Democratic Party enjoys throughout the country. Thousands of people cheered the Democratic leaders across the country, from Gjirokastra, Korça and Vlora to Kukës. During a year in opposition, the DP managed to grow stronger and consolidate firmly in the face of communist terror and the physical-elimination tactics pursued by the communist clique in power. Democrats throughout the country are now the largest and most vibrant political force. For a year, the DP has been at the forefront of all the important political initiatives connected with the country’s fate and the future of democracy. Without this progressive and modern environment that the DP has created in Albania, the country would suffer even more from the consequences of the communist rebellion and its offspring, the Nano 3 and Nano 4 governments. The partial local elections no longer serve as a test; they are a heavy slap and an expression of disagreement with the Socialist way of governing. The test has long since taken place. In the face of the many political developments in the country, the Albanian left has positioned itself as an inhibitor of the consolidation of the Albanian state and nation. The sabotage inflicted on the country by its ministers is now evident in every area of the country. There is no longer rebellion in the streets, but gangs in offices. Twenty families from the nomenklatura have stolen millions through smuggling, leaving three million Albanians in the misery of VAT. The left-wing leaders of the Alliance for the State are against the state and against the nation. They used the power they seized with guns on June 29 just as power taken by guns can be used. Trucks carrying smuggled cigarettes, coffee or alcoholic drinks have made use of the tables of those who will vote on Sunday. The ships unloaded by the police and soldiers along the coast have poured their cargo into luxury villas abroad, precisely for those 20 mafia families. These very families have built their networks of dependency and opened fire on dozens of Democrats throughout the country. The massacre carried out by that ethnic government of the Alliance for the State in parliament, on the roads, in Levan, Berat, etc., is no different from the massacres committed by Socialist Party gangs during the spring of last year. In other words, neither the form nor the substance of the gang that called itself the Alliance for the State has changed. In the eyes of all Albanians, and especially those who will vote on Sunday, it is an alliance for smuggling, theft, fraud and anti-Albanianism. Those who go to the ballot boxes on Sunday have a great responsibility. They must overturn the disastrous June 29 for Albanians. Each of them holds in their hands a great future, which can either be overturned or secured. By voting for the DP, Albania is preparing to cast off the heavy burden of the alliance against the state and to regain the model of prosperity and democracy.
