The Albanian Prime Minister harms Kosovo
Statement by the chairman of the Albanian Democratic Party, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha
Prime Minister Nano declared that Kosovo's lamentation “is Mont Blanc,” since he did not condemn the genocide of the Republic of Kosovo, declared by Rugova, as a truly hellish act against a person “absolutely beyond measure” toward the President of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova!
This scandalous statement comes two days after the attack by the Prime Minister of Albania on President of Kosovo Rugova, as an immeasurable hell, triggered reactions from the highest institutions in the Albanian world. The free will expressed by President Rugova was denounced as a true verbal aggression against the most prominent political figure of the Albanians of Kosovo. The reaction of all-Albanian public opinion was strong.
By becoming the spokesman for Belgrade's positions, Prime Minister Nano continues to strike at the figures and institutions of the Albanians of Kosovo. Instead of denouncing repression, terror and ethnic cleansing, he finds time to attack Rugova and harm the national cause.
The Democratic Party considers this stance irresponsible and anti-national.

A government without people, a state without citizens
By Bahri JONUZO
... has lost, or has never gained, the trust of the broad mass of citizens. Albania over the past 10 months is a country of anarchy and non-governance. Of course, the state will be a state only when there is legality and order, peace and discipline, security for life and property, hope and confidence in the future, etc. But it is not like that here.
There is a demand from active political life that the work of the government be harmonized with that of the state, but the state has still not held the government accountable for the alarming economic and social situation created during 250 days of rule. The people are increasingly feeling the rise in hardships, insecurity for life, for work, for tomorrow. Just as one example, the repeated cases of robberies, thefts, kidnappings, trafficking, murders and other such acts are highly revealing and have shaken and alarmed public opinion as a whole.
In that country, miserable economically and morally, where the presence of the state in the protection of citizens is not felt, why should we be surprised by the fact that respect for the law and for institutions is being eroded more and more every day? Instead of the authority of the state increasing, it is declining daily. Instead of law-enforcement and justice bodies being strengthened, they are being compromised, used politically, and turned into tools in the hands of government clans.
The citizen no longer has confidence that his property, his effort, his life are protected. This government has no people because it does not govern for the people. This state has no citizens because it does not treat people as citizens with rights, but as a voiceless crowd. And that is precisely where the Albanian drama of these days lies.
Under these conditions, the return of the rule of law is a national necessity. Without it, there can be neither order, nor development, nor hope.
