Parliamentary violence
By Sami NEZA
Bypassing the vote by the pre-parliamentary majority and copying the rhetoric and overall mindset of that ordeal, which was above all played out in the streets, this Monday created the surrogate scene of a staged conflict, where a parliamentary mechanical move amplified an act of protest, giving it the image of an act of force. Such a parliamentary session, held at a highly inappropriate time, could only be a model designed to divert attention from the fundamental issue of the day. That issue was the killing of Azem Hajdari, its investigation, and the political responsibilities weighing on the state leadership. Instead of parliament being a tribune of transparency and accountability, it was turned into a stage of noise and diversion. Through an act of violence and procedural obstruction, an attempt was made to create the impression that the opposition was destabilizing institutional life, while the essence lay in avoiding answers about the political crime. This parliamentary violence, in its symbolic and procedural sense, constitutes a dangerous sign of the degradation of public life and the rejection of democratic standards. It showed that the majority has replaced debate with imposition, argument with numbers, and legality with force. In this way, the political crisis is not only unresolved, but deepened further.

Berisha welcomes NATO’s decision
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Jozefina Topalli, considers a constitution imposed by a trampled law to be untrue
For the second time within two days, the chairman of the PDS has welcomed the latest decision of the Western North Atlantic alliance to issue an ultimatum to Milosheviç’s fascist regime to withdraw military and police forces from Kosovo. This refers to the declaration approved yesterday in Brussels at the level of the Defense and Foreign Ministers of NATO member countries.
Jozefina Topalli yesterday denounced the aim of Ramiz Alia and Nexhmije Hoxha to reduce Albania to a country of repeated crises and to a hot spot in the Balkans. She made it known that the Constitution, which is imposed by the force of the ballot cards, is morally and politically failed.

At the EDU Constituent Committee
The European Democratic Union welcomed the anti-communism supporting the PD
Yesterday the work of the Constituent Committee of the European Democratic Union began in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. In this meeting, the delegation of the Albanian Democratic Party was represented by its deputy, Ylli Vejsiu, who presented the serious political situation in Albania after the killing of Azem Hajdari and the latest anti-democratic developments. He called on the EDU to condemn state violence and support the efforts of the PD to restore democracy.
In his speech he stressed that the climate of insecurity and repression is isolating Albania from Europe and that the current government is leading the country toward a dangerous civil clash. Representatives of sister parties expressed concern about the situation in Albania and praised the role of the opposition.

The government protects Azem Hajdari’s killers
Today, 32 days since the killing of the December Movement leader
Every day that passes without the truth about Azem Hajdari’s execution being uncovered increases suspicions that state structures are working not for justice, but to hide the traces of the crime. Family members, supporters, and public opinion have raised strong accusations against the government for manipulating the investigation and protecting the moral and political perpetrators of the attack. Instead of transparency, citizens are being offered contradictory statements and propagandistic noise.
The opposition has declared that it will not withdraw from its demand for the full clarification of the event and for the identification of the entire chain of responsibility. It is calling for an international investigation and for the removal from office of those who, according to it, are obstructing justice. Thirty-two days after the killing, the political and civic wounds are still open.
