Today, protest rally in Skanderbeg Square For 12 days, the criminal ordeal and imprisonment of the opposition delighted and frightened Albanians. Unprovoked unrest by the authorities on 3, 4 and 7 October inflamed the situation. On Thursday at 17:00, all citizens of Tirana and the districts, from all over Albania, right-wing and left-wing, are to protest against the government of drug traffickers and Hajdari's executioners.

And if the victims of 14 September can amount to even one killed per month, or one fewer killed per month, and if this may be needed by current politics, the unshakable conclusion cannot be blurred that 14 September became the date from which governments are judged... REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA PRIME MINISTER ORDER No. 27 dated 19.10.1998 ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DISCIPLINE AT WORK AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DUTIES IN THE STATE ADMINISTRATION In implementation of articles 102 paragraph 3, 101, 104 and 105 of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, with the aim of improving discipline at work and creating suitable conditions for the exercise of functions by the state administration, I ORDER: The organs of the state administration and central institutions, during Thursday 22.10.1998, shall be fully operational. All managers must take measures to ensure the presence of employees on duty and record the names of persons absent without reason. Employees who do not report to the workplace within official hours shall be removed from duty. Civil servants shall be removed in accordance with the law on civil service status and other employees according to the Labour Code.
