Shkodër students humiliate Gjinushi
The speaker of parliament was driven out amid the protesters’ shouts
Lola with Shkodër, play with fire
The government owes us Azem’s blood
More than 1000 people gathered spontaneously in front of the university premises to await the “general” of the press and constitution, Skënder Gjinushi, who was holding a meeting with students at the “Luigj Gurakuqi” university, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this school. Hundreds of students and lecturers rushed the university and protested strongly, while the invited participants at the meeting were expelled by force. The angry crowd pelted the speaker of parliament’s car with eggs. Then it gathered in the university courtyard and confronted the police, which tried to disperse the protest. Gjinushi, together with his police escorts, quickly left for Peshkopi? of conferences, entering through the back door. The students declared that he is responsible for the killing of Azem Hajdari and has no right to set foot in Shkodër.

Berisha in Madrid
At this EUCD summit, democrat? will inform their European sister party about the difficult situation of the opposition in Albania, including involvement, lack of movement and government terror against it
The leader of the Albanian opposition and of the leadership of the Democratic Party, Dr. Sali Berisha, will take part today in the executive assembly of the European Christian Democratic Union and in the meeting of the presidencies of all Western sister parties. The assembly is being held in the Spanish capital Madrid for three consecutive days as part of the events marking the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Popular Party in Spain. Dr. Berisha will take part in the summit of chairmen and political secretaries, meetings which will finalize the final declaration of the congress, as well as the political declaration.
From reliable sources close to the Popular Party, it is learned that during today's summit Dr. Berisha will inform European political partners about the grave political situation in Albania, especially about the difficult conditions in which the democratic opposition finds itself today, the terror exerted against it by the government, the violations of constitutional rights and the absence of law in our country.
Thirty-four center-right parties take part in the executive assembly of the European Christian Democratic Union, including 17 member parties of the European People's Parties and other political parties from Central and Eastern Europe. This organization is led by Chancellor Helmut Kohl and Secretary General Alejandro Agag. The Albanian opposition right became part of this organization in 1995 with its full acceptance and its right to become part with full rights of the EPP. The expected success of the Madrid summit, which has also invited political leaders from other countries of the world, is expected to be accompanied by a strong declaration against the violations being committed against democracy in Albania. This declaration will be a considerable moral and political support for the Albanian opposition.

Exodus of ministers in times of crisis
BY SHPËTIM ZINJPOZI
Albania is the only country in Europe where ministers move around on office-worker schedules. In every European country, and also in other Balkan states, during periods of acute political crisis, government officials turn their offices into war headquarters in order to prepare the strategy for the situation. In Albania, the opposite happens. After 14 September, ministers and their staffs have become sparse and several times have been almost completely emptied. They are precisely the most important ministers in the cabinet, whose decisions directly affect either the resolution or the worsening of the situation created. This shocking picture is a scandal.
Many of them use state cars to go home, while leaving the work in the hands of subordinates. Most have been seen closing their offices before noon or leaving without a trace. Citizens who have problems with the state cannot find them at their workplace. This behavior has become the object of public anger.
If the government were serious, the ministers should stay in the ministry and run their structures without interruption. But their behavior shows irresponsibility and a lack of will to face the crisis.
