We consider illegal any institution created by the manipulated rotation in September 1997. Strong support for the students on hunger strike and for the opposition protests. The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Besnik Mustafaj, declared on behalf of the PD in the plenary session of Parliament that his party does not recognize the institutions emerging from the elections of 29 June 1997. According to Mr. Mustafaj, the PD will recognize only one legitimate government, one resulting from free and fair elections. “The current majority has lost all legitimacy after the violence and terror it has exercised over the opposition and the student movement,” he said.
