The Democratic Party deputy denounces Molli's scenario and the crime of the clique in power, the prime minister's majority Outside the law of the Democratic Party Some time ago, urgency no. 1 presented the suggested measures for opposing the law and, under the pretext of strengthening efforts to implement the rule of law, their initiatives aim to cast the Democratic Party back into illegality. Since we are facing such an act, convinced that Albanian citizens will not remain indifferent, I have the duty to inform you that the government, by an order dated yesterday, nullifies the right of the Democratic Party to function. The order of the Ministry of Public Order and its structures forbids our political activity, denies us the right to protest, and seeks to criminalize the opposition. The Democratic Party considers this action a genuine political scenario, drafted by the clique in power to eliminate the real opposition in the country. This is a blow against pluralism, against political rights, and against the constitutional order itself. These people, who today speak in the name of the state, are the same ones who organize violence, protect the gangs, and hold the institutions hostage. We call on citizens, international organizations, and all democratic forces to react firmly to this arbitrary act. The Democratic Party is not frightened and will not retreat. It will continue the struggle for freedom, for free voting, and for democratic Albania. The current panorama of the revolt in the high-security prisons and the armored movements in the capital shows that the country is sliding toward a new crisis. Responsibility lies with those who are undermining the rules of democracy and driving Albania toward civil confrontation.

Tanks and armored vehicles were seen in the streets of the capital, which significantly increased tension. Citizens were kept away from the prison area and traffic was restricted.
