The opposition takes over the central squares
The Democrats of Lushnje defeat provocations and police terror
The policy of the criminal gen... Because as the opposition and the increasingly accused of a despotic, clerical and authoritarian line, Nano's government has brought, for governance, a hateful and perverse beginning and a kamikaze stance toward the opposition. On the 60th anniversary of yesterday's extrajudicial execution in 1944 of the cleric and patriot Dom Lazër Shantoja by Enver Hoxha's communists, Nano's police yesterday sent hundreds of police and military forces into the city of Lushnje, with particular concentration in the city of Lushnje, and provoked the opposition's large protest rally in every possible way in this city, invited by the Alliance for Democracy and Solidarity.
At 12:30 in the city square, the rally organized by the local committee of the Alliance for Democracy in Lushnje began, where, alongside senior leaders of the opposition parties who had arrived from Tirana by private cars (which were forcibly stopped before the city entrance), thousands of citizens from Lushnje, surrounding areas, but also from Fier, Elbasan and Durrës, had filled the square. On the podium, the announced absence of the chairman of the PD, Azem Hajdari, stood out; he would arrive late because of the many police obstacles created for him on the road to Lushnje. Finally, because of orders from the Nano government, the police began to violently obstruct the first speeches on the podium, while Socialist militants began provocations. The crowd reacted firmly and the rally continued.
The government deepens the crisis
The contradictions and divisions within the government seem to have reached such a point that, against the latest acts that have profoundly shaken the state and even shattered its brain, the deadlock is being exposed. At the beginning of February, the government of Prime Minister Nano threw all its forces into saving the former Interior Minister Neritan Ceka[?] from the scandal of arms and car trafficking, using the police and the прокуратor's office as political tools. Instead of solving the law-and-order crisis, this government is deepening it, turning the country into a climate of constant tension.
On the other hand, the Albanian economy continues to slide toward chaos. Wages and pensions are not enough, prices have risen, unemployment is deepening, while smuggling and corruption remain the real basis of governance. That is why in various cities across the country popular anger is growing and the opposition protests are finding ever greater support.
Fatos Nano orders the imprisonment of the opposition
Government meeting to physically crush the Albanian opposition as well
For today, at 12:30, the government has issued an order to strengthen isolation and police control measures in a number of cities, violating political freedoms and civil rights. The goal is clear: to frighten citizens and stop the spread of the protest. But yesterday's developments showed that fear is no longer working.
Berisha: parliament's decision is a destabilizing political act
The opposition, together with BEP representatives, demands that the police stop crime
The PD supports the idea of the December Azem Hajdari, the agreement must be tripartite, with the opposition, parliament and BEP, to declare the PD, the opposition and the political group terrorist and publicly declared as such by the government. “This is an anti-opposition and anti-democratic decision,” PD chairman Sali Berisha declared yesterday. “The agreement must guarantee the participation of the opposition and create real conditions to stop police violence and state criminality,” he said.
