Kosovo without peace

The commandos’ police and the dictatorship of the Serbian authorities have taken other innocent lives in Kosovo. In Drenica and throughout Kosovo it is a day of national mourning, while in the village [?] and Prekaz and many other places there have been farewells and burials of Albanians brutally killed by Serbian forces. Selim from Presovica speaks about the pain and the blood shed mercilessly. In a long account of the bloody events, he explains how Serbian forces killed women, children and old people. He says that in the place called Likoshan, where one of the worst massacres took place, many Albanian civilians were killed. According to him, the village was surrounded and people were shot without any warning. Among the victims were also elderly people and children. In Prekaz, too, the situation was tragic and the Serbian forces spared no one. In Kosovo a national mourning has been declared and people are taking part in funeral ceremonies. In Prishtina and Drenica there is great outrage against Serbian violence. Albanian political leaders and representatives of the international community have strongly condemned these acts. Urgent intervention is demanded to stop the bloodshed and guarantee the rights of Albanians in Kosovo. Sami NEZA
