Justice on the guillotine of power

The governing coalition is trying by every means to take under control not only justice, but also the media. Today it is becoming clear what this political class represents. After giving an interpretation today of Article 131 of the Constitution, according to which the President of the Republic has no right to make new appointments to the Constitutional Court, the chairman of the Constitutional Court, Kristaq Traja, found himself facing strong police pressure. Police, politically ordered by the leaders of the Ministry of Interior, intervened brutally in the premises of the Constitutional Court, preventing the institution from functioning normally. In this climate of tension, the authorities seem determined to subjugate every independent institution.
