By Beqir Dondo The accusations by the failed government and the left-wing extremists against the Albanian opposition and especially against the Democratic Party and Sali Berisha for anti-national and unconstitutional activity are part of the destructive political strategy of these forces and of their efforts to discredit the Albanian opposition at any cost. Even now, in this tense political period that our country is going through, a time when the rule of law has been severely compromised by the neo-communist majority and when sovereignty is being violated every day, representatives of the left and the government, including the state media, call the protests and positions of the Democratic Party and the opposition unconstitutional and anti-institutional. If we were to refer to the latest political developments in Albania, to the causes of the crisis that has engulfed the country and degraded Albanian society to the limits of an anarchic society, to the factors that prevent the opposition from integrating into the political system, as well as to the irresponsibility of the government and the left in creating such conditions of political one-sidedness, then to label the Albanian opposition and especially the Democratic Party as unconstitutional and anti-democratic would mean not only distorting reality, but also committing a political absurdity. Since this government came to power, it has not only failed to serve the political and national integration of the country, but through the policy it has pursued it has plunged the country into a spiral of crises among the most serious and with incalculable consequences for the future. Instead of fighting organized crime and corruption, focusing its energies on economic recovery, establishing constitutional order and consolidating the institutions of the rule of law, it has on the contrary encouraged destabilization, favored the powerful, divided society and put the police and administration at the service of certain groups. Moreover, at the most difficult moments for the country, when citizens expected solutions, this government has used propaganda and political violence against its opponents, labeling as enemies of democracy all those who denounce its failures.
