The roots of the mafia in Albania
By Sami Frashëri
Flowers? there are no years of the 1990s; a post-communist society keeps its own rules. In this country there is no real state, law and order in the modern sense of the word.
The comfort zone of crime
Included in Albanian activities, it annoys us with nerves and with the means of using the name of Kosovo. What makes it clear that in fact here we are dealing with a genuine criminal phenomenon is the organized handling in areas of lawful activity. At the mafia scale of Western countries in economic and financial, property, trafficking, etc. structures, what is opened is not only under the shadow of an entire network, but also with a primitive and modern philosophy of profit. These make it more efficient and more visible.
If at first this model of the Albanian mafia was linked to smuggling and other forms of petty crime, today it has taken on a broader and more dangerous shape. It is fed by the weakness of the state, by the lack of control, and by ties to power.
This is a bitter reality that is increasingly appearing in the life of the country.

The deputy chairman of PP, Pilo Gogo, clarified that the main point of the dialogue between government and opposition
“We have ruled out that Mr. Ilir Huli, without consulting the leadership of the parliamentary group, would not give his opinion as a PPD deputy, which would be contrary to our decisions, and we ask for that dialogue from him”
By Bledar HOTI
The deputy chairman of the Democratic Reconciliation Party, Pilo Gogo, stated yesterday that the main point of the talks being held between the opposition and the government is linked to the creation of a parliamentary investigative group. Gogo made it known that the leadership of the PPD gathered its deputies yesterday before the meeting with the international mediators and decided that deputy Huli should vote according to the group’s decision. According to Gogo, the PPD is interested in the continuation of the dialogue and in a political solution to the crisis. He added that “the path of dialogue must be found”.
Consensus meeting
A consensus meeting was held yesterday between the coalition parties to resolve the crisis. Representatives of the government and the opposition took part in the talks, where ways to overcome the political situation were discussed.
