The PS crisis, a major factor in the lack of governance

By Bahri DODE The absence of governance in the country, which constitutes the country’s political crisis that has reached this stage, has been and remains the strong clash within the ranks of the Socialist Party. This has been the case from its beginnings, as a result of an open or latent conflict between the party chairman and the heads of government. The conflict within the PS has developed on several levels: political, institutional and organizational. On the political level, the conflict has been the product of the lack of harmony between the party leadership and the executive. Since the Socialists came to power, the government has often found itself under the pressure of party structures, while the party has failed to build a clear strategy for exercising power. This situation has led not only to delays in reforms, but also to a visible lack of responsibility toward citizens. On the institutional level, the clashes have damaged the normal functioning of the state administration. Appointments, dismissals and constant interventions have created instability and hindered the implementation of public policies. Instead of consolidating institutions, an atmosphere of insecurity has been created that has favored clientelism and improvisation. On the organizational level, the PS has shown itself incapable of managing internal debates and preserving unity. Factions, personal rivalries and power calculations have replaced programmatic discussion. As a result, the party has weakened as a governing force and the government has lost the necessary political support. The PS crisis, in this sense, has turned into a major factor in the lack of governance. Without resolving internal conflicts and clearly dividing the roles between the party and the government, the country cannot have political and institutional stability.

New facts about the Berat massacre. Shocking statement by Jonada Dervishi’s mother

Today, 27 days after Jonada’s killing, the little girl who became a symbol of murdered innocence, her family and relatives continue to seek justice. Jonada’s mother recounts how special forces entered the house with weapons, how panic was created, and how her 7-month-old daughter was struck in the hands during the intervention. She says that no one gave explanations and that after the incident they tried to distort the truth. According to her testimony, the police entry was sudden and violent. Shots were heard immediately, while the family remained terrified. In the chaos that followed, the baby was injured and none of the officers took responsibility. The mother is calling for a full investigation, punishment of the guilty, and transparency regarding the entire command chain of the operation. Her statement raises serious questions about how the operation was organized and about the attempts to cover up the consequences. The case has triggered numerous reactions and has turned into a serious accusation against the state structures.
