Tirana brings the elections of hope closer

The March ’92 rallies return to “Skënderbej” Square in memory of the PD victory, 100,000 democrats demand the departure of the failed government The March ’92 rallies return to “Skënderbej” Square in memory of the PD victory, 100,000 democrats demand the departure of the failed government Tirana brings the elections of hope closer Berisha. Our alternative is the alternative of national reconciliation. We will replace the rule-of-law state instead of the clan state, we will establish law and rules for Albanians in the country. The mafia and the organizations of crime. We will rebuild the market, freedom, democracy and the future New elections, a rescue from left-wing rule It was hard to find more suitable words to describe such a magnificent and record-breaking rally, where perfect organization within a single day managed to fill Skënderbej Square, the area around the Historical Museum, Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, up to the Prime Minister’s Office, the entire stretch of road in front of the Tirana hotel, both sides of the Lana River, up to the Dëshmorët e 4 Shkurtit bridge, the square in front of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, and all the streets leading down to the center. New elections are the only way out of this chaotic and grave situation for all Albanians without distinction, said PD chairman Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha. He stated that 22 March 1992 is the day when Albanians voted for freedom, something that had seemed distant for more than 50 years. For Albanians with their vote on 22 March 1992, which oriented the country toward democracy and the free market. According to Berisha, regardless of what they have tried to present and how many times they have tried to distort it, 22 March 1992 was the day of the greatest turning point in the history of Albanians after the wars of Albania’s partition. These wars, according to the Democratic leader, began with the Yalta agreement. “Tirana and the Albanians today gave Albania and the whole world a clear message that Albanians no longer accept living with class struggle and in poverty. They said no to the government that pushed Albania 8 years backward,” Berisha said. “The victory of Albania is the victory of the vote, of free will,” said the Democratic leader. According to him, the socialists turned governing into the sole instrument of their enrichment. “Today we gather determined to turn Albania into a rule-of-law state. We will replace the clan state with the rule-of-law state. We will establish law and rules for Albanians and we will build the market, freedom, democracy and the future,” he said. The PD chairman further declared that the new force of hope is the free vote and free elections. He added that the time of the left is fading. “Nothing will be able to stop the new hope and our dream of moving freely toward Europe,” he said. “We are the party of the free country and the free nation,” Berisha said. He said this government is drowning in the mud of corruption and crime and is ruling with gangs and the mafia. Article continues on page 6 Thousands of people in “Skënderbej” Square
