The government does not guarantee the country’s integrity

Statement by the Democratic Party De jure, the Albanian state has been placed under the tutelage of NATO military forces, but paradoxically the Albanian government, through its actions, is harming the interests of the Albanian people and NATO itself, is preventing NATO power from achieving its military and political objectives, and is causing a chaotic destabilization of the country. In an analysis of the general situation in Albania, the Democratic Party expresses concern that the government has lost all organizational and leadership capabilities and is turning into a police regime. According to this statement, the government has failed in the management and registration of refugees, creating opportunities for the infiltration of Serbian agents and diversionary elements. It is also accused of failing to control the distribution of aid, obstructing opposition structures, and attacking the independent press. The statement emphasizes that the government has blocked the media space and that Albanian Television has been put at the service of one-sided propaganda. PD demands that the opposition and the nationalist wing of the democrats be given access to state television in order to present their positions on the crisis in Kosovo and on the country’s situation. The text says that the government is tolerating the activity of hostile foreign services, including the UDB, and that this poses a threat to national security. In conclusion, the Democratic Party declares that the country is heading toward institutional degradation and calls for an immediate political and national response. ON PAGE 5
