Berisha: Kosovo will not have the fate of Chameria
The Democratic Party called for the Durrës Act. Democrats support Rugova, as a chosen intermediary of the Albanians, the war should bring everyone together and the deputies should return to Kosovo
Speaking on behalf of the UÇK edition, Berisha narrowed the disregard of everyone so that no other front would be opened against the UÇK, since this is Berisha’s alternative, and said that the Democratic Party had called for the plundering by Berisha’s regime. The UÇK must certainly respect all their activity, and a delegation of worthy Albanians and UNITOS-
Berisha has set up, with an analytical group, to examine the situation, make its own assessments and finally reach its cohesion, to propose others. Yesterday Mr. [Sali] Berisha told me that they will present to the committee a position worthy of the Albanian people, but not to make concessions. This analytical group will examine all the documents related to the Kosovo crisis. These documents have been presented through a bad policy and unclear positions regarding the liberation of Kosovo and its status.
At yesterday’s PD session, Mr. Ibrahim Rugova was present, and he was welcomed with applause by the deputies and participants. In his speech he stated that "At this historic moment for the Albanian nation, a clear position must be maintained on Kosovo and all forces fighting for its freedom must be supported".
The bullets of Tirana and the prime minister’s parliament
By Asim Vokshi
In a situation completely inflamed by war, at a time when Albanians are facing a national tragedy, the institutional clash between the prime minister and the president over the Minister of Public Order is taking place. The conflict that began days ago over Petro Koçi, whom the prime minister wants to dismiss while the president refuses, is reaching its peak.
Who is 14 September keeping awake?

Never in these days has it been more dangerous to observe the hardening of relations between the majority and the president, especially when it is accompanied by political accusations over serious events. What is clear is that 14 September is returning like a ghost in Albanian political debate.
The bullets of Tirana and the parliament of Kiliton
By Asim Vokshi
The conflict between institutions and the lack of political responsibility are creating a heavy atmosphere in Tirana. Instead of concentrating energy on dealing with the Kosovo crisis, political debate is shifting toward internal battles.
In this climate, Parliament seems paralyzed and the government weakened. Accusations and counter-accusations only deepen public distrust, while citizens feel unprotected in the face of chaos and uncertainty.
Albania needs calm, functioning institutions and a clear national strategy. Any deviation from these priorities is a dangerous luxury at a time when Kosovo is burning.
Who is 14 September keeping awake?
By Mero Baze
It was the first time that a party leader publicly asked the President of the Republic to dismiss a minister from his cabinet, in peacetime and in the middle of a war in Kosovo. Fatos Nano did this yesterday, insisting that Petro Koçi be dismissed from his post as Minister of Public Order.
What is most troubling in this case is not simply the fate of one minister, but the fact that the institutional clash is taking on political dimensions, bringing to mind the tensions of 14 September 1998. President Meidani, by immediately rejecting Nano’s request, showed that he is not willing to accept such a precedent.
The conflict is linked not only to public order and accusations of incompetence, but also to the political balance within the majority. At the height of the Kosovo crisis, such a clash risks turning into a new state crisis.
If the dismissal request becomes part of a power struggle within the left, then the consequences will be severe for the country’s political stability. 14 September remains a fresh memory for Albanians, and the return of the atmosphere of those days is the last thing the country needs today.
