The PD chairman and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, through a signed message, value the Rambouillet representation, declare themselves in favor of continuing NATO bombardments and a ground intervention Prime Minister Bukoshi is expected to meet today with top Albanian authorities in Tirana In a joint written statement, the President of PDSH, Dr. Sali Berisha, and the Interim Prime Minister of Kosovo, Dr. Bujar Bukoshi, state that under the conditions of continuing repression and Serbian genocide against the Albanian population of Kosovo, as well as the tendency of certain international circles to relativize or avoid resolving the crisis with the aim of placing it under Belgrade’s control, it is necessary to have the most dignified possible nationwide political representation of the Albanians of Kosovo, in line with the weight of their contribution and sacrifices. The statement says that the most suitable way to achieve this task is to establish as soon as possible a National Council of Kosovo with representatives from the KLA, the political forces of Kosovo and the diaspora, with the highest representative authority. PDSH and Dr. Bujar Bukoshi assess that the liberation war of the KLA and the NATO bombings are the determining factors for the liberation of Kosovo. Therefore, they strongly demand the continuation of the bombings as well as the preparation of a NATO ground intervention. They also assess that the best and most dignified solution for the Albanian nation is the full independence of Kosovo. The statement strongly condemns any attempt to impose appointed representatives or those elected under conditions of violence and repression, describing this as an attempt to manipulate the political will of the Albanians of Kosovo. Under these conditions, President Berisha and Prime Minister Bukoshi reiterate their commitment to close political cooperation in the interest of the national cause. ON PAGE 7
