“Albania,” an ordinary provocateur for SHIK

Yesterday, the “RD” newspaper office received many reactions to the insults that the newspaper “Albania” is attempting to direct at our newspaper’s daily appeal to find the killers of Azem Hajdari. For two consecutive days, the director of this newspaper, Ylli Rakipi, has been trying to mockingly imitate the daily notice published by the newspaper “Rilindja Demokratike” about the killing of opposition leader Azem Hajdari by the Albanian government on September 12, 1998. Mr. Rakipi, repeatedly misused by all of Albania’s secret services, is now trying to discredit this appeal by insulting our colleague Agron Bala, who was physically attacked a few days after the murder of Azem Hajdari. His attempt to discredit this appeal follows his use by Fatos Klosi to divert the investigation away from the trail concerning the killers of Azem Hajdari. The “RD” newspaper office urges outraged citizens to remain calm and avoid the dangerous provocations that SHIK is attempting to carry out against the efforts of the Albanian opposition to find the killers of Azem Hajdari and all those who perpetrate and instigate political violence in Albania.
