Berisha welcomes developments in Belgrade

Today, hundreds of thousands of citizens filled the streets of Belgrade and seized the parliament of the butcher of the Balkans, seemingly marking the end of Europe’s most hated regime, which plunged the Balkans into four wars and genocides that culminated in Kosovo two years ago. This is a positive development both for Serbia and for the whole of the Balkans. The departure from power of the man officially described by Tirana as “the lesser evil” is a major achievement for all the citizens of this region. I believe no one will be found to grant political asylum to the cruel dictator; instead, he will be brought before the Hague Tribunal, as retribution for the hundreds of thousands of victims caused in the Balkans by the policies he pursued and the wars he provoked.

NATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE PDSH DECIDED:

The National Council of the PDSH DECIDED: 1.—The PDSH reaffirms its position of not recognizing the results of voting that was manipulated in those electoral units where the denial, through the lists, of citizens’ right to vote and the manipulation of the official records falsified the voting result. 2.—To participate in the announced run-offs on condition that: a— the date of the run-off be postponed for an adequate period in order to eliminate the irregularities observed and documented by both domestic and foreign observers; b— the CEC be changed, as the body responsible for manipulation of the lists, publishing them only on election day, failing to enforce equality in the VCCs according to its own instructions, and excluding representatives of PDSH candidates from the electoral commissions in several units—concerns also documented by OSCE, CoE and ODIHR observers. Only a balanced CEC can win the confidence lacking in Nano’s family-political CEC. c— the voter lists be published within the legal deadlines, after voters who were excluded have been included and the lists have been countersigned by the electoral subjects participating in the run-off. The Democratic Party pledges to contribute to meeting these demands as quickly as possible; without them, there can be no electoral process in Albania for its electorate.

The government protects Azem’s killers

Today, 754 days since the murder of the December leader Every day that passes since the murder of Azem Hajdari proves the involvement of Fatos Nano’s government and its successors in the crime that shook the entire Albanian world. The government must either bring the guilty parties to justice, or publicly declare that it itself carried out the murder of Azem Hajdari.
