PD puts Sokol Olldashi’s erotic poems on the market

After the books published by Rama and Blushi, Mehr Licht publishes the transport minister The minister’s verses: We will eat your breasts... and if we are still not full, your white thigh... later, my tests and your womb. Mira Meksi says: Olldashi himself asked to have the poems published The news Politics has made way for literature. After the appearance of the politicians of the left, Edi Rama and Ben Blushi, the politicians of the right have not been left behind either. In the November 2011 issue of “Mehr Licht”, published by Mira Meksi with funding also from the Ministry of Culture, the poems of Transport Minister Sokol Olldashi appear, including erotic ones. The only thing not stated is when these poems were written. TIRANE Anything could happen. But for politics to compete also through books, that has happened only this year, and only at this year’s Book Fair. Thus the left has brought two strong pens to the market, including the chairman of the Socialist Party himself, Edi Rama, whose book “Kurban” is breaking sales records, as well as the party’s MP Ben Blushi, who is also breaking sales records with his third book “Shqipëria”. But there, hidden in books, also because of the 15th anniversary of the magazine “Mehr Licht” by the author Mira Meksi, other artistic works appear. And it seemed that Albanian politicians have a zeal for writing poetry. In fact, in the translatable literary magazine of November 2011, according to what is written on the cover of the magazine, we are given the poems of Transport Minister Sokol Olldashi. The senior official of the Democratic Party has not written a novel, nor a political tale, but simply an erotic poem, perhaps even a perverse one. THE POEM It is not known when Sokol Olldashi wrote this poem. He may have written it in his youth, but the poem was published in the November 2011 edition of this year, at a time when Olldashi is minister. Nor is it known why this poem, if written earlier, was chosen to be included in this issue of the magazine published for its 15th anniversary. What... And if we are not satisfied, your white thigh, my strong arm. Later, my tests and your womb. And if we still are not full, we will tear open each other’s chests with our teeth, and in our last gasps we will bite our hearts. Berisha’s truths in Tetovo

Analysis By Arben Llalla Berisha’s truths in Tetovo Finally, after so many years, the Prime Minister of Albania, Sali Berisha, made a visit of several hours to the city where all Albanian political parties have their headquarters, to the city where the first university in the Albanian language in Macedonia was founded, to the heroic Tetovo of the 2001 war. The story of a visit by Berisha to Macedonia is so old and interesting. For the first time, the visit of the Albanian prime minister to FYROM was announced in May 2010, but on 10 May of that year the Macedonian police killed under suspicious circumstances the leader of the A[?]K party, former commander of the KLA Harun Aliu, together with three other Albanians, former members of the KLA army. Berisha then postponed the meeting because at any time a private university in Struga announced that it had decided that Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha would be declared “Doctor Honoris Causa” during the visit. An award that never reached the hands of Prof. Berisha. His visit did not have the great resonance that the visit of Etop had a year earlier In September of this year it was announced that Sali Berisha would visit Skopje on 26 October, but after much criticism Berisha postponed the visit because during that period a census would be held in Macedonia. There was a high probability that this visit would be exploited by the Macedonian side, as it would falsify the exact number of Albanians by reducing their percentage. The Albanian diplomacy further declared that Sali Berisha would make the visit on 4 November, but for that date too the visit was postponed to 9 November. So, why all these postponements?! Why was the visit of the Prime Minister of Albania scheduled for dates that are days of misfortune for Albanians in Macedonia?! On 9 November Berisha visited Tetovo, on the day when four years earlier in the Tetovo Highlands the forces of... Continued on page 4
