The open meeting
of the organization
— Discussion with a secretary of the party
basic organization at the "Dinamo" plant —
— And how do you understand the demand, as workers, party members, a basic organization secretary in an important enterprise?
— I understand it as a first-priority demand, because this is a time when nothing can be left to routine any longer. Earlier, work called on us to solve many things under the impetus of production duties, but now even more we must be aware of the fate of the country, of socialism, of what each person must do in his own place.
The right thing the basic organization must do is to return boldly to discussing the collective’s issues, to listen to the voice of the masses, not to be afraid of different opinions, but to work them out along the party line.
In our organization we have felt this as a necessity. More sincerity is needed, it is necessary to speak openly, so that a person does not remain alone with his own opinion, but the collective becomes a living force.
These days we have spoken more with workers about production, quotas, discipline, but also about the moral climate of the collective. We cannot separate these things. A person gives more when he feels he is heard, that he is respected.
Openness is a school of responsibility. It does not mean saying everything without weighing it, but saying what burns inside you and helps you move forward.

Our word gains weight
Comrade Ramiz Alia’s words touch us in the heart and mind. They are addressed to us not only as communists, but to every worker and cooperative member, because the time we are living in calls for broader participation, greater responsibility and a higher civic stance.
In our enterprise, daily work often keeps you tied to the objectives of the plan. Yet now we understand more clearly that the plan itself, and production itself, depend on the atmosphere we create, on the confidence we earn, on the way we solve difficulties and how we view mistakes.
When it is said that the people are master of the country and of the fate of socialism, this is not merely a formula. It is a concrete duty. Not to wait only from above, but to give your opinion, to take part, to demand accountability and to answer for what you yourself have in hand.
Many of our comrades have welcomed this spirit with interest. It makes us more lively in meetings, more demanding at work, more attentive to one another. Even criticism, when well-founded and made with good intentions, takes on a different value.
We want our word to carry weight, but only honest words carry weight, words supported by work, by example, by devotion.

Yesterday in a teachers’ room
Yesterday in a
teachers’ room
Following the echo that Comrade Ramiz Alia’s words have found, teachers, educators and people in education are discussing the tasks now facing our school. In a teachers’ room, the educational work, the link between school and family, the ideological and civic formation of the pupil, and the teacher’s role as a living example were discussed.
It was said that more openness, more responsibility, and greater cooperation with parents and social organizations are needed. The teacher cannot remain merely a distributor of knowledge; he must educate through words and conduct.
The discussions also touched on textbook issues, unnecessary overloads, and the need to work better with pupils who have difficulties and with those who are talented.
The conclusion was clear: the words of Comrade Ramiz Alia urge us to look more deeply at our responsibility and not to reconcile ourselves with formalism.

Description

In the quiet city, the poet returns to the streets, the evening lights and the familiar voices. Among ordinary faces he seeks the passion of the stage, the weariness of rehearsals and the joy of those who keep amateur art as part of the city’s life.
