To comrade Ramiz Alia, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the PPSH Tirana Dear comrade Ramiz, We ask the Central Committee of the Party and you personally to convey to our entire collective the warmest congratulations and greetings on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the «Enver Hoxha» tractor and automotive combine, which we celebrated by achieving for the first time the production of 30,000 45-hp tractors. The clear definition of the tasks for implementing the measures for the development of the economy in accordance with the orientations of the 8th Plenum of the Central Committee of the PPSH has ignited in the masses of our workers an unwavering faith in our own strength, and the desire and determination to carry our socialist homeland forward. By analyzing our reserves and the concrete situation in our collective and, on the basis of the new contract, we aim during this year to improve our work in the direction of raising economic effectiveness in quantity and quality. This 40th anniversary coincides with the entry of our collective into economic accounting, which means a fairer and more complete assessment of the contribution of all levels of the workshop, the brigade and the enterprise. We have understood that in our economic activity, of first-order importance is the full use of production capacity and the best possible organization of the work process. This requires more qualified and conscientious work, especially from the engineering-technical sector and from specialists. Good steps have been taken in adapting the technology to the conditions of our factory, but there are still great untapped reserves. Priority will be given especially to the production chain for spare parts, to increasing the production of tractors and agricultural агрегates, to raising the utilization rate of machinery and reducing costs. Under conditions of economic accounting, the quality of our products also becomes especially important. This is a matter of honor for our worker, but also a need of the time. Knowing that our market has great demand for tractors and spare parts, we will make efforts so that quality is raised at every stage of production. For this purpose, with the help of the party basic organization and the trade-union organization, the obstacles have been analyzed in detail and concrete tasks have been assigned to each department. We are aware that the fulfillment of the tasks of 1990 requires high discipline at work, great economy in raw materials and materials, as well as an uninterrupted struggle against every manifestation of unnecessary expenses. Relying on the experience gained, on the strength of our workers’ and engineers’ collective, and on the Party’s constant care, we believe that we will achieve this year’s objectives. On this occasion, once again, we express our warmest wishes and assure you that we will do everything to serve the cause of socialism and the homeland even better. Only through the organization of work, the proper division of forces, the application of technologies and the sensible use of means can today’s demands be met. And this requires not only commitment on sunny days, but also on rainy ones, because January weather does not wait. In many agricultural economies measures are being taken to speed up sowing, to level the land, to drain the plots and to increase the food base for livestock. This is a big job and requires a wise combination of manual labor with machinery, of old experience with the requirements of new technology. The goal is for every day of January to be turned into production. Only in this way can the year’s objectives take concrete and achievable form.

SANDAJ In the pump section of the Durrës mechanical combine, on the eve of the 45th anniversary of liberation, good work is being done. A struggle is underway with ideas and concrete actions to improve the organization of work and increase production rates. Tasks have been assigned in detail to each worker and brigade, and more care is being demanded in the use of materials. There is greater responsibility in the implementation of technology and standards. This has led to an increase in production rates and an improvement in work discipline. In the collective, the spirit of cooperation and the search for new ways to solve problems prevails.

The industrial enterprise has reached 5 percent, while industrial production has reached 13 percent. In implementing the Party’s orientations for increasing effectiveness and quality in production, the collectives of this enterprise have achieved good results. Seventeen collectives have stood out for fulfilling plans at a steady pace and surpassing important indicators. Their experience is being studied and spread throughout the enterprise. This has influenced the growth of the socialist spirit of competition and the improvement of the work climate. Workers, technicians and specialists are committed to doing more in the months ahead.

On the 40th anniversary of the agricultural enterprise «Nacionin e Malla» On the eve of the 40th anniversary of this enterprise, the generations of workers, technicians and specialists who turned difficult land into a source of production and well-being are remembered with respect. With sweat, patience and skill, they built irrigation systems, opened drainage canals, erected greenhouses and warehouses, and gave this land a new face. This enterprise has become an example of organized work and dedication to the land. The younger generation finds here a valuable experience and a great lesson in how land cultivated with love and knowledge turns into a monument to working people.

Council and the Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Trade have held meetings in several economies and enterprises to see firsthand the state of supply, to identify difficulties and to give guidance for improving work. In the meetings held, the importance of coordinating actions among the production, transport and distribution links was emphasized. A stricter follow-up of contracts was requested, as well as greater responsibility from managers for fulfilling the tasks.
