WHAT FOLLOWS THE AGREEMENT

Police lines deployed day by day are being unblocked Ten days after the conclusion of the Malta Conference, the situation in different countries of Eastern and Southeastern Europe continues to be quite complicated. Within the process of political, social and economic reforms, in some of these countries major changes have begun in state and party structures. Recent events in Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Romania and elsewhere are in this spirit. According to agency reports, demonstrations and protests have been held in some centers, while in other places faster steps toward democratic transformation are being demanded. In the photo: A. Every man knows water under control

DIKTONË WEATHER TRENDS - LUSHNJE - Heavy rains and the winter weather had blocked the regular work in the farms and cooperatives of the Lushnje district for many days. This year’s 15 January brought an even more difficult situation, but thanks to the measures taken and the organization of work, the greater damage was avoided. Arable land, facilities and various agricultural crops have been kept under control. What reserves were created and what work was done in these difficult days will be learned better in what follows. Progressive in the field-areas, on the 45th anniversary of the founding of the BSPS

Employees of enterprises and cooperatives have responded with renewed mobilization to the plan tasks and commitments in honor of the anniversary of the founding of the BSPS. In many collectives good results have been achieved in production, savings and work organization. Festive meetings and symbolic actions have also been held. (Continues on page 2)

A group of teachers and educators from the “Migjeni” collective are working for better results in the teaching and educational process. Work with students and extracurricular activities are being accompanied by new initiatives. (Continues on page 3)

Work moves forward only with capable people

— How long has it been awaited, for the place to be found in order? — As the party discussions and the organizations’ discussions come to a conclusion, in many work collectives the demand for more capable, better prepared and more responsible cadres has been brought to the center. In some places a refreshing of the management apparatus is also requested. Workers assess that reforms and the implementation of decisions require capable, honest people with experience. Only in this way can one move forward with the expected results. (Continues on page 2)

The work of foreign affairs and ambassadors in Laos

Meetings and consultations have been held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding diplomatic representation and issues of cooperation with Laos. Some aspects of protocol and bilateral relations were also discussed. (Continues on page 2)

At an exhibition recently opened, works by pioneers from several different schools and centers have been displayed. Visitors were introduced to children’s creativity in drawing, handicrafts and other models. (Continues on page 4)
