For example, how is one to find the driver’s place in the general enterprise, except in the factory? What were the consequences of this? At “Misto Mame” in Tirana, factories were damaged and disrupted. By what? By the inability to secure in advance complete installations and equipment, tickets and various forms, machines, tools, etc., in order to take part in the enterprise’s various workshops and carry the work through to completion. This is precisely the heart of the problem. It has not been possible to carry out the necessary training and to raise responsibility at every link in the chain of work. As a result, it has often happened that materials, semi-finished goods and by-products move around without proper control. This has been reflected not a little in production costs. In the “Partizani” plant in Fier, for example, the lack of willingness to apply technological and economic discipline with precision has caused considerable losses. Partial repairs, improvisations and unauthorized interventions have been made, undermining the accepted norms of utilization. This is why a significant part of the funds that should have gone to renewal and modernization have “evaporated” without leaving any visible trace in increased production or improved quality. To avoid this, it is not enough to say that opportunities are lacking. What is required is will, control, organization, and a strong sense of responsibility in every sector. Only in this way will millions not go up in smoke for nothing.

At the new plant in Fier's ruse The final, largest assembly heads of the process compressor groups were successfully installed ahead of schedule in the ammonia section. This important enterprise is moving toward the completion of a stage that is significant for the entire complex. On Wednesday, the assembly brigade, led by experienced specialists, completed the lifting of the main column and the installation of auxiliary equipment. According to the site engineers, the work was carried out in accordance with the project and with technical standards. Challenges have not been lacking. During the last months, work has been carried out under difficult conditions, with tight schedules and a major mobilization of forces. Nevertheless, the result shows that when organization and cooperation are at the right level, deadlines can be shortened. A few functional tests and connections to auxiliary installations still remain before the object is fully completed. These days, despite the cold of these days, in the House of Culture in Korçë an exhibition of fresh flowers grown by citizens, schools and various enterprises has been opened. Particularly noticeable are rare decorative species, fragrant flowers, cacti and other carefully kept plants. The exhibition has aroused the interest of visitors and specialists in agriculture and horticulture. It demonstrates the love of the inhabitants for flowers and their care for the city’s aesthetic environment. It is believed that such an initiative will serve as an impetus for the expansion of greenery and flower culture in the city.

REPORTAGE Everyone knows the name of Kosina for its olives and especially for its good oil. But these days the village is living at a different pace of work. In the cooperative there is a great movement of people and machinery; plots are being repaired, trees are being pruned, drainage canals are being opened, and the soil is being prepared for spring sowing. There is no lack of vitality in the brigades. Men and women work side by side. Some are taking care of arranging the nurseries, others of improving the internal roads, and others of transporting organic fertilizer. Young people help with enthusiasm and seek to take on the highest possible quotas. In conversations with the cooperative members, one thought emerges clearly: well-organized work brings results. The production of recent years and the growth of income prove this. But the demands have increased. Now more care is needed for every olive tree, every furrow, every working day. Kosina has every opportunity to achieve good results again this year. This depends on each person’s dedication, on the example of the best people, and on the correct guidance of the specialists. - Vlorë - On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the birth of comrade Hysni Kapo, reports and commemorative talks about his life and activity were held before the workers of the enterprises of Vlorë. In many institutions, documentary corners were opened, meetings were organized, and talks were held with veterans of the war and labor. The exhibition opened for this occasion presented documents, photographs, and other materials reflecting his valuable contribution to the National Liberation War and to the socialist construction of the country.
