Now Fier can offer experience in livestock breeding
AN EXAMPLE THAT ENCOURAGES
For years the state expanded agricultural crops at the expense of pastures; much was invested in them, and afforestation and other improvements were carried out. If you look at the pasture map, pastures make up 44 percent of the country’s territory. However, it seems that the good pastures, which could support large herds of livestock, were not used enough. On the other hand, in the coastal lowlands, where the possibilities for intensive livestock farming were greater, the expected results were not achieved. Fier is one of the districts where livestock breeding can provide experience. Here favorable conditions have been created for raising cattle and small livestock, farms and facilities have been built, and the feed base has been expanded. In many agricultural enterprises persistent work has been done to improve breeds and increase the production of milk and meat. There are still shortcomings and obstacles, but the achievements so far show that with better organization, higher work discipline, and greater care for the feed base, the results can be much better. Fier’s experience can also be useful for other districts of the country.
Control without weaknesses that slow things down
VERIGJA
A simple pledge from one place to another is not enough. Continuous control, daily follow-up, and responsibility for fulfilling tasks are required. In enterprises and institutions, delays must be avoided, weaknesses must be struck at, and good initiatives encouraged. Only in this way does work gain momentum, and only in this way can the plans and tasks undertaken be completed on time and with quality. Control is not a formality, but a necessary link in management. It must extend to every sector and every workplace, so that no one remains outside responsibility. When control is carried out with competence and without weaknesses, it speeds up progress.
