Teaching life at the agricultural higher school, the regulations remain decisive

These observations are based on the sound organization, functioning, responsibility and high level of duties in teaching. Often the result of following the teaching process, when assessed, turns out weaker than what had been planned. This places responsibility not only on the teaching staff, but also on the students. The agricultural higher school of Kamza, alongside the many efforts made to raise the teaching and scientific level, also has problems linked to the implementation of the teaching regulations. From monitoring the teaching process in lecture halls and laboratories, from talks with lecturers and students, and from checks in the relevant documentation, it emerged that, although there is an overall improvement compared with 1989, shortcomings are still observed in the discipline of conducting lessons and in their systematic monitoring. In some cases the timetable has been changed, classes have been held without timely notice, or student attendance has not been checked rigorously. In this context, the work of the deaneries, the chairs and the youth organizations also becomes important, in order to strengthen each person’s responsibility. The teaching regulations are not a formality; they clearly define rights and duties, rules of conduct, assessment criteria and the way university life should be carried out. Any deviation from them brings harmful consequences for the quality of training of young specialists. Experience shows that where compliance has been insisted upon, the results have been better both in study and in education. Likewise, where lack of discipline has been tolerated, weaknesses have appeared in mastering the subjects, in practical training and in attitude toward work. This calls for a firmer and more continuous stance from all levels of management. The tasks are clear: strengthen control, fully respect the timetable, increase the responsibility of lecturers and students, and allow no violation of the regulations. Only in this way can the higher school fulfill its mission with quality in training specialists for agriculture.

During installations, better indicators

In Shkodër See that the onions are being done? [?] ... The dynamic pace with which summer is moving forward in various sectors of the economy in the Shkodër district is matched by the work in the installations and departments of enterprises. In many places measures have been taken to improve organization and make better use of capacities. Noticeable results have been recorded in several sectors, where 25 percent of the required indicators have been exceeded, while for some other items there are still shortcomings that require a quicker solution. At the center of attention are the saving of raw materials, the increase of yield and the assurance of product quality. The first 50 days of the year show that with better organization higher results can also be achieved in the months ahead.

GOOD PEOPLE...

From the notebook block Believe the voices and what is said every day by ordinary people from the countryside and the city about how one should work with honor and responsibility. Or do you need names? Yes, people such as Muho Sh. Alisali, Misto Lika, Iljaz Muka, Myslym Havaja, Hysen Kerri and others can be mentioned, who in their fields are an example of dedication to work. When everyone admires the result of a job well done, the question naturally arises: what makes these people so steadfast? Perhaps a sense of duty, love for the profession, connection with the collective. Perhaps also civic conscience itself, which does not let them remain at ease in the face of an unfulfilled duty. From the daily notebook block, these people emerge not for noise, but for work. They are good people, who make the simple meaning of the word responsibility more visible.
