CONTROL AND SAVING FOR ENERGY STARTS FROM THE DAILY QUOTA

(According to a conversation with activists, inspectors and specialists of the People's Republic of the Shkodër District, Besnikëm Shylla) The most rational use possible of electric energy has taken on particular importance not only for the needs of the economy, but also for the daily supply of the population itself. The first evidence shows that the work to carry out the tasks set for the beginning of the year has been visible in every direction, in the organization devoted to distribution and control, in the more careful use of every kilowatt and every electrical device. These past few days, as specialists also note, the fulfillment of the saving task is done especially from the daily quota. Daily monitoring of consumption, linked to the fulfillment of production plans, the state of energy in the network and technological discipline, remains a primary duty. In various enterprises and workshops, more responsibility has been demanded for the timely switching on and off of агрегates, for avoiding losses, for not using equipment outside the norms and for eliminating any waste. In many cases shortcomings have also been observed. In some places, according to inspectors, the work has not been followed with the same persistence, there have been cases of indiscriminate switching on, use outside the schedule and discrepancies with the established regime. These behaviors have consequences not only for consumption, but also for the overall supply. According to energy specialists, every saving made in the workplace translates into greater opportunities for the economy and the population. For this reason, vigilance, control and daily accounting are required. The verifications carried out show that where the daily quota is followed responsibly, the results are better, losses are reduced and the fulfillment of tasks moves forward more securely. ZERO OF REASON AGAINST THE ANTI-PEOPLE GOAL

- It emerged in the second trial of Ibrit, “he says and does not ask for Kosovo” - In various reactionary circles, the noise and speculation around developments in Kosovo continues. According to reports in the Yugoslav press and positions made public by some well-known chauvinist circles, the aim is to distort the truth about the demands of the Albanian population and to spread the idea that calm can be achieved with repressive measures. However, the developments themselves show the opposite. The Albanian population in Kosovo is demanding its legitimate rights, equality, dignity and respect for its national identity. Any attempt to present this as “separatism” or as incitement from outside does not hold. Instead of listening to the voice of reason, some circles choose the path of pressure and slander. This does nothing but further worsen the situation. Time has shown that the truth cannot be hidden. The Albanians of Kosovo cannot be denied in their rightful demands. (To be continued on page 4)

THE BEAUTIES OF PRESPA

REPORTAGE From the photo: The maidenly nobility of the roses of Prespa. Prespa has a special beauty in every season. The calm lake, the broad shores, the villages scattered among the fruit trees and the hospitality of the people make this region one of the most graceful in our country. In spring, vitality is felt everywhere. The gardens yellow with blossoms, the fields take on color and work begins early in the morning. Along the shores and hills one sees girls and boys in clean clothes, strongly tied to tradition and work. The beauty of Prespa is not just appearance. It is also character, warm words, hospitality and love for the country. Photo: Maks Haxh[a?] (To be continued on page 3)
