At the end of a working visit to the Gjirokastër district, Comrade Adil Çarçani held a meeting yesterday with workers from this district. In the name of the Party and comrade Ramiz Alia, Comrade Adil Çarçani greeted the participants, wishing them health and prosperity. Speaking about the present situation, he stressed that we are in a difficult period, a period of great efforts to overcome the difficulties that have arisen. But our party and our people have the strength, the wisdom, and the will to overcome everything. He underlined that with unity, with trust in the party, in socialism, and in our own forces, we will move forward. The meeting discussed work, production, discipline, the defense of the victories of socialism, and the strengthening of order and calm. It was emphasized that in today's conditions it is essential to increase responsibility, apply the laws, and protect social property. In this context, the tasks facing the workers of the Gjirokastër district were also discussed, as well as the fulfillment of plans, revolutionary readiness, and political and ideological education. Comrade Adil Çarçani pointed out that the freedom and independence of the homeland were won with blood and sacrifices and are preserved only by following the party's path. He stressed that our country will not allow anyone to undermine the socialist order and the victories achieved by the people. In many cases unnecessary losses, excessive lighting, indiscriminate use of electrical equipment, and failure to respect schedules have been identified. Specialists point out that the possibilities for saving are greater than is usually thought. Better control, greater responsibility, and exact implementation of the set measures are required. In households, institutions, and enterprises, every watt saved matters. This is closely linked to the country's energy situation and to the need to guarantee normal supply for the most vital sectors.
