— How the Political Bureau’s decision to expand and strengthen the cooperative household was received — The most joyful news for yesterday’s private agriculture was the decision of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Albanian Party of Labor to further improve the economic and social conditions of cooperative families, and to strengthen the cooperative household, and it was received with particular joy in the Durrës district as well. This news immediately became the topic of conversation in the centers of agricultural cooperatives, in the brigades and farms, and in the families of cooperative members. In their words, they express their conviction that this decision will directly affect the increase of livestock and agricultural production, the improvement of their families’ lives, and the strengthening of responsibility for work in the cooperative. The advantages of the new economic mechanism are in our own hands This six-month period was and will remain in the Lushnjë district the first period of implementation of the new economic mechanism. The Plant Equipment Factory enterprise has started work to generate revenue, improve economic indicators, and make better use of internal reserves. Its workers have understood that better organization is needed, higher technological discipline, greater responsibility in the use of raw materials and energy, as well as continuous savings. In various collectives it has been emphasized that the advantages of the new economic mechanism do not come automatically, but are won through hard work, self-discipline, and strict observance of technical standards. Measures have been taken to reduce losses, improve the quality of production, and expand links with the supply base. These efforts are seen as the main path to overcome difficulties and ensure better results in the months ahead.
