Offensive work to close the second half-year

Greater utilization to make up for shortfalls VLORË — In the fire department, work to achieve the plan and other obligations is being carried out at a brisk pace and with discipline, despite some difficulties. The collective’s initiatives for making the most rational use of raw materials and the material base are producing results. Special attention is being paid to reducing losses and increasing quality production. In this half-year, shortfalls were also created because some indicators were not met in several items, but the collective is overcoming them through better organized work and greater use of capacities. Workers and specialists emphasize that the main objective remains the successful closing of the second half-year and ensuring a steady pace of production. (Continues on page 4)

New labor force

In implementation of the decisions of the 11th plenum of the Central Committee and of the party for the further revolutionization of the organization of work, the better use of the workforce and the application of technique, only during the latest period hundreds of new workers have been assigned to work in the united agricultural cooperative of the Përmet district. During this time, 61 people, of whom 31 are girls and women, have been placed in jobs. Many of them are being engaged in the most important agricultural and livestock tasks. At the agricultural enterprise of the Përmet district, 8 agronomists, 9 veterinarians, 10 secondary agricultural specialists, as well as 300 new workers have started working. In addition, around 100 women and girls have come and been assigned in the district and are successfully contributing in various areas of agriculture. Thanks to this work, labor-force difficulties have been considerably eased. The movement of youth brigades, for harvesting the bread grain, helped greatly. This year around 450 pupils and young people from the district’s secondary schools took part in various agricultural actions. (Continues on page 4)

Timely sowing

BERAT In line with fulfilling the duty in the cooperative of the united peasants, great attention is being paid to agrotechnical work, especially sowing, irrigation and soil preparation. On 10, 11 and 12 August, new areas were sown and work was carried out on extended hours. Within this framework, specialists and brigades are continuously following every item of the plan. In the farm, the proper yield has been ensured and measures have been taken to improve drainage, irrigation and work discipline. Special care is being given to the political and technical organization of the campaign. The work is being carried out with dedication and responsibility, so as to avoid delays and ensure the fulfillment of duties. (Continues on page 4)

STORY ABOUT SOME OF MY ACQUAINTANCES

The niece Professor Shaban Berdina notes in his diary that STIL in Tirana keeps the records for all personnel, which he describes in detail. Visits at the Presidium of the People’s Assembly

Delegations from the state and the party, as well as representatives of mass organizations, continue to appear at the Presidium of the People’s Assembly to present citizens’ requests, proposals and concerns. At the meetings, issues related to improving economic life, regulating supplies, housing, public services and work discipline have been examined. The representatives stressed that solutions will be sought in accordance with the law and the general social interest. The Foreign Minister received the Finnish parliamentary delegation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the RPSSH held talks with the parliamentary delegation of Finland, which is in our country on a visit. During the meeting, issues related to bilateral relations, economic and cultural cooperation and developments in Europe were discussed. The delegation showed interest in the processes in the country and in the expansion of contacts between the two countries.
