Yesterday morning, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party of Labour of Albania, Ramiz Alia, met with the activists of the social organizations of the Tirana district. At this meeting, ideas and assessments were exchanged and discussed regarding the steps being taken for the further democratization of our political, economic and social life.
It was emphasized in the meeting that the democratic changes being carried out in our country are not hurried steps or ones imposed by others, but the result of the Party line, which has consistently aimed at improving the socialist system and expanding socialist democracy. It was underlined that the process of democratizing the political system is closely linked to strengthening the socialist state, the role of law and the participation of the masses in governing the country.
Comrade Ramiz Alia spoke at length about the need to deepen political reforms, to increase the role of social organizations, to invigorate critical and creative thought, and to strengthen civic responsibility. He pointed out that pluralism of thought within the socialist framework, the enforcement of legality and the fight against bureaucratism are demands of our time.
The meeting also discussed the role of youth, women, the trade unions and other social organizations under the new conditions. It was stated that democracy is not merely the proclamation of principles, but a daily practice in work, in governance and in social relations.
The participants expressed their support for the Party’s orientations and stressed the necessity of preserving stability, national and social unity, and continuing the democratic transformations with maturity and responsibility.

EVERY DAY IT IS NECESSARY: HIGH MOBILIZATION AND STRONG DISCIPLINE
Now, after the rains...
Across the country efforts are being made to successfully cope with the seasonal tasks and overcome the difficulties created by the weather. At the center of attention remains the need for better organization of work, full use of resources, and strengthening of discipline at all levels.
In many cooperatives and agricultural enterprises, greater mobilization of forces has begun to save production, harvest crops on time, and prepare new plantings. Experience shows that where leadership is demanding and responsible, the results are better.
The rains of recent days caused obstacles, but at the same time they brought out organizational shortcomings, fluctuations in discipline, and a lack of daily oversight more clearly. Therefore, it is necessary for every cadre and specialist to be close to the working people and to help concretely in solving problems.
There are many tasks and time waits for no one. The pace of work in the coming days depends on the precise implementation of organizational measures.

Before any situation: a lot of work
The silhouette of the past and the profiles of the present, the changes as(?) he can be amazed and amaze. If we pause even briefly over the daily actions of an ordinary person, it becomes clear that the times increasingly demand a sense of responsibility, decision-making ability and dedication.
Instead of wasting energy on complaints and excuses, swift action, concrete solutions and cooperation are required. Only in this way can one move successfully from one state to another, from one difficulty to an achievement.
People become great not through words, but through work. In every enterprise, in every village and city, this truth takes on direct meaning.
