As a consequence of the Soviet-German agreements, the foreign press is pointing out that this will be about a new stage of economic development. Many observers maintain that after the decision of the two governments to open wider the path to economic and trade cooperation, both countries will feel mutual benefits. The article emphasizes that the worsening of relations in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf crisis have increased the interest of many countries in finding new markets and new channels of exchange. In the first comments in the press, it is noted that this measure is linked to recent developments and to efforts to stabilize the economy. Considering the prospects of this agreement, observers conclude that it will affect the increase of exchanges and the development of economic relations. Seen as a whole, the interest shown in this direction is also connected to the fact that the world economy is going through a difficult period and that many countries are seeking new forms of cooperation. In this framework, the agreement is regarded as a measure aimed at aligning interests.

The agricultural farm «28 Nëntori» in the Shënavlash Agricultural Enterprise has harvested around 900 quintals of cotton. This is 40 percent of the plan and 150-160 quintals more than in the same period last year. In 1989 this farm achieved an average of 6,500 kg per hectare, or over 89 quintals above planned production. This was the result of the special care given to the cotton crop. The income from cotton picking, both for the family and for the state, is profitable. In particular, 150 quintals of the early forage-grain crop also bring a profit of 40-50 percent, compared with other crops. For this reason, although the figures for the work are not yet known, the weather conditions have favored the growth of the 150 quintals. Even so, as noted by the daily report of the women’s cotton brigade, care for the crop is also essential during harvesting.

Good organization determines the difficulties and shortages SMT leaders, starting from the work in the harvesting season, closely follow the progress of services in the agricultural enterprises. Instead of using good weather to achieve objectives, there are many cases where work is hindered by fluctuations, by non-compliance with discipline rules, by breakdowns in equipment and delays in organization. On the other hand, many of the shortcomings can be overcome if each person does his or her own duty well and if the tools are used sparingly and carefully. Autumn work requires rhythm, concentration, and mutual support.

The values and resilience of products with tradition have become the subject of discussion at the symposium held these days, in which specialists and researchers in the field took part. The presentations addressed issues related to preservation, processing, quality, and the expansion of their use in practice. The participants highlighted the importance of studies and concrete applications in production. In conclusion, the need for broader cooperation between institutions and specialists was emphasized.
