ACTION FOR JUGJELLËSII
1990 – A DECISIVE YEAR
,
Within the framework of implementing the tasks arising from the orientations of the IX Plenum of the CC of the LCY? and from the Economic Reform Program, organizations and working collectives are engaging in increasing production, improving work organization, and raising responsibility in carrying out tasks. The first quarter was characterized by greater mobilization of productive forces, by a clearer orientation toward concrete results, and by the aim of starting the year 1990 well as a decisive year.
In many workplaces, forms of organization were strengthened, greater engagement by workers and management staff was observed, and the need for thrift, discipline, and efficiency was emphasized. The action for jugjellësit [?] has placed at the forefront the responsibility of each collective for fulfilling its own tasks. In this spirit, efforts are also being made to overcome difficulties, secure raw materials, and use capacities more rationally.
This page presents examples of concrete commitments in several workplaces, with particular emphasis on mines, industrial organizations, and other productive activities.
Miners in the lead

The first organizational and production quarter that the coal miners in Dardhishte have successfully achieved. They have extracted over 2,400 tons of coal for the needs of the economy. NRP, above all, has fulfilled the extraction plan on time, but it has also emerged as a disciplined mine with stability and order, whose work leads the country’s economy and industry. NRP is, without a doubt, among the first organizations to have secured high labor productivity and efficiency. It is very active in initiating actions and measures for the implementation of the Economic Reform Program. Coal extraction is continuing at uninterrupted intensity, with most miners found on new fronts and new objectives, clearly demonstrating their determination to advance.

On 31 March the situation is not known...

In the economy sectors of KEP (?) of “Trepça”, noticeable progress is being observed. In line with the orientations arising from the meetings and the development programs, efforts are being made to remove obstacles and improve the situation. In the production facilities, an increase in engagement has been observed and discipline has risen. In some departments satisfactory standards have been achieved, while in others the need for better organization and tighter control has been emphasized. Workers demand that responsibility be shared and that results be measured by the concrete effects of the work. Representatives of the collectives state that the first quarter has shown that better results can be achieved when there is mobilization, order, and accountability.
Achievements, but not without difficulties
In this period certain results have been recorded, but there are also difficulties in supply, organization, and the use of equipment. Some collectives have managed to overcome these obstacles thanks to greater commitment from workers, better cooperation, and increased responsibility. However, there are also cases where the lack of raw materials, technical breakdowns, and transport delays have affected plan fulfillment. These issues have been raised in meetings, and concrete measures have been requested to resolve them.
The cultured person says: “together with friends...”
The cultured person says:
“together with friends...”
After an hour of our walking up and down in the city park, around midday, we were watching the movements of passers-by. The streets, as usual, were full. Our attention was drawn to a man walking with two young people and speaking with them. He spoke calmly, in a measured tone and with a kind of care not to hurt others. At one point, as they were passing near us, we heard one of his sentences: “together with friends...”. He said it naturally, without noise, without boasting, as if it were the most ordinary thing.
We paused for a moment. It impressed us not only because of the phrase, but also because of the way he said it. At a time when a person often wants to stand out by placing himself above others, that sentence seemed like a sign of good upbringing, of the culture of living with others, with friends, with the collective. In that phrase there was simplicity, but also awareness that work, success and life become more valuable when shared with others.
This is a small but meaningful example. A cultured person does not see himself as detached from the community, nor does he try to inflate his own role at the expense of others. He knows how to respect the interlocutor, keep balance and speak politely. Therefore, even a single sentence can become a sign of culture.
