- COMRADE RAMIZ ALIA AND OTHER PARTY AND STATE LEADERS PAID TRIBUTE AND LAID WREATHS AT COMRADE ENVER HOXHA’S GRAVE - Yesterday, 11 April, on the 5th anniversary of the death of the great and unforgettable leader of the Party and the people, the pioneer of the revolution and architect of the new Albania, Comrade Enver Hoxha, the entire people and the Party paid tribute, with deep respect and gratitude, to his glorious work and unforgettable memory. Thousands of workers from the city’s workplaces and production centers, ministries and institutions, war and labor veterans, military personnel, members and relatives of martyrs’ families, young people and Enver pioneers went to the National Martyrs’ Cemetery early yesterday morning to pay tribute at Comrade Enver Hoxha’s grave. At 10:00, Comrade Ramiz Alia, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Chairman of the Presidium of the People’s Assembly, arrived and paid tribute, together with Comrades Adil Çarçani, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party and Chairman of the Council of Ministers; members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party Sami Miskë, Prokop Murra and Rita Marko; candidates for the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party Kico Mustaqi, Llambi Gegprifti and Pirro Kondo; Nexhmije Hoxha, member of the Central Committee of the Party and Chairwoman of the General Council of FDSH; Pilo Peristeri, member of the Central Committee of the Party; members of the Central Committee of the Party, the Presidium of the People’s Assembly and the Government; staff of the apparatus of the Central Committee of the Party; representatives of the central mass organizations; and leading cadres of Party and state organs who had retired. Comrade Ramiz Alia and Comrade Adil Çarçani laid at Comrade Enver Hoxha’s grave a wreath on behalf of the Central Committee of the Party, bearing the inscription: «Glory to Comrade Enver Hoxha, the great leader of the Party and the people». On behalf of the Presidium of the People’s Assembly, the wreath was laid by Comrades Rita Marko and Xhafer Spahiu, and on behalf of the Council of Ministers by Comrades Manush Myftiu and Pali Miska. A wreath was also laid by Comrade Nexhmije Hoxha and the children. Wreaths were also laid on behalf of the General Council of FDSH, the Ministry of People’s Defense, and the Party Committee and Executive Committee of the district’s People’s Council. Comrade Ramiz Alia and the other Party and state leaders stood in silence and raised their fists in tribute before the grave of the comrade, the beloved leader and teacher. Members of Comrade Enver’s family also paid tribute. During the ceremony, the wind orchestra played funeral marches and the National Anthem. Military personnel and Enver pioneers stood guard of honor. Then Comrade Ramiz Alia warmly greeted and met with workers from the capital, communists, veterans, young people and Enver pioneers. He firmly shook the hand of veteran Gani Lamçe and, touching the badge marking the 40th anniversary of the Party’s founding that this communist wears, said: - Whenever I see this, my respect for the communists and the Party of Labour grows. Always stand firm, as the Party is, as Enver Hoxha was! - Long live the Party, and may you, Comrade Ramiz, live as long as the mountains! In Tiranë, the Italian guests visited the National Historical Museum, the «Enver Hoxha» Museum, the «Albania Today» Exhibition, as well as other social and cultural sites.
