IT ATTRACTS ATTENTION — At the joint meetings of the party bureaus and the workers’ collectives, detailed analyses are being made of ways to eliminate the major economic shortcomings that have caused difficulties for the country, as well as the necessary measures to reduce losses as quickly as possible. At a meeting held at the united agricultural cooperative of the village of Frakull, in the Fier district, concrete analyses were made of the situation and it was requested that immediate measures be taken to improve work. It was emphasized that the country needs higher rates, more production, better use of land and of the material base. Shortcomings in organization, the responsibilities of the cadres, and weaknesses in controlling the implementation of tasks were pointed out. It was requested that every sector account for its results and that no further violations causing damage to the economy be allowed. In the discussions, labor discipline, quotas, the use of technical equipment, and the necessity of saving were also addressed. It was underlined that progress cannot be made with indifference and concessions. All links must work with a high sense of responsibility. At the end, it was requested that the measures not remain on paper, but be followed through to full implementation.
