While the whole country was celebrating this holiday, in the beautiful mountains of Dardhë, the Party and state leader, Comrade Ramiz Alia, had also gathered with workers from Korçë to spend a few joyful hours. Joining them in the celebration was also Comrade Nexhmije Hoxha.

DECISIONS THAT CALL FOR WORK AND TRUST IN THE FUTURE
From the visit with the fishing workers in Lezhë
There was no better place, the workers said, to celebrate May 1 than by the water and with the sailor’s work in mind. In Lezhë, their meeting yesterday took on a special meaning, because it came immediately after the 11th Plenum of the Central Committee of the PPSH.
The workers, technicians and managers of the enterprise spoke about the new tasks, the need to increase production, to make better use of capacities and to improve the organization of work. They said that the decisions taken require work, dedication and faith in the future.
In the discussions it was emphasized that the opening and democratization of the country’s life require greater responsibility, better discipline and a fight against foreign influences.
The participants celebrated the holiday with songs and dances and with a pledge for better results.
