Korrokesa-disi gives priority to sauce Are agricultural contracts being fulfilled on time? To such a question, the collective of the industrial-agricultural combine “Duko Ccza” of Lipjan, it seems, answers with the results of its production so far. Up to now, on the basis of contracts with the Meat Industry, this combine has delivered 800 lambs. With peaches, it has prepared for 22,000 lambs, of which 7,500 are already contracted. In addition to meat, it has delivered to this combine considerable quantities of peppers for processing, while this year it will also deliver 28 tons of plums, as well as strawberries and other fruit. As can be seen, priority in this collective goes to the sauce combine contract. It is also apparent that the delivery plan for 70 tons of tomatoes and 30 tons of peppers has been prepared. Not only that, but this year the collective has also given importance to the cultivation of early cabbage and red cabbage, has planted potatoes in three stages, has expanded the areas under onions, etc. All this shows that the collective of the industrial-agricultural combine of Lipjan, with well-organized work, is ahead of the obligations contracted with the processing industry. Yesterday morning in Tirana, the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers was held. A series of issues concerning the state and progress of our economy were examined at the meeting. At its center was the assessment of further ways and means to improve the economic situation, strengthen discipline and responsibility in its administration and management, as well as the adoption of measures to accelerate the pace of production and the circulation of goods, by seeking and efficiently using all the reserves available to the enterprises of our economy. The difficulties, obstacles, and shortcomings encountered were analyzed realistically, mainly due to the inadequate implementation of earlier decisions, with particular attention to some more urgent problems requiring immediate solutions. The meeting defined a series of concrete measures of an economic and organizational nature aimed at improving the situation and ensuring the fulfillment of plans in all sectors of the economy. The Council of Ministers stressed the need to strengthen state discipline and control, to increase the role of the leading bodies, to make better use of production capacities, and to ensure more regular supply to the population. The ministries and relevant departments were tasked with taking the necessary measures to implement the decisions. (ATSH)

The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Agriculture, comrade Pali Miska, received yesterday the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Arab Republic of Egypt, headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, comrade Ahmed Aziz, who is making an official visit to our country. In the friendly conversation that took place, the mutual desire for the further development of cooperative relations in the field of agriculture and trade exchanges was emphasized. The results achieved were valued, and confidence was expressed that there are new opportunities for expanding reciprocal cooperation of mutual interest. Within the framework of the multilateral cooperation process in the Balkans, on 28–30 June 1990, a meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries of the peninsula will be held in Tirana. At this meeting, problems related to the promotion of regional cooperation, the strengthening of good-neighbourly relations, and the expansion of contacts in various fields of mutual interest are expected to be examined. The meeting is considered an important step in favor of peace, security, and understanding in the Balkans. (ATSH)
