THOSE WHO ARE OPENING FIRST THE PATHS OF THE NEW ECONOMIC MECHANISM
The new steps continue the interconnected center of the economy and the socialist organizer and the working masses toward the great victories in the construction of socialism and of our state. They come in the wake of the broad discussions now taking place in all working collectives, concerning the further improvement of the economic mechanism. These discussions are being held in the spirit of the orientations given by comrade Ramiz Alia in meetings with workers of enterprises and institutions, as well as the decisions of the 9th Plenum of the Central Committee of the PPSH. At their center are the measures for the full implementation of economic reforms, for increasing production efficiency, for improving organization and management, and for expanding the rights of collectives and workers.
In the various enterprises of the country it is becoming clear that opening new paths in the economy is closely linked to activating all reserves, to the economical use of raw materials, to increasing production for export, to raising quality, as well as to increasing responsibility for every link in the work process. Workers express the conviction that, with the measures adopted, even better conditions will be created for fulfilling plans and for improving the well-being of the people.
In many collectives ideas are being put forward for simplifying the administrative apparatus, improving planning methods, strengthening economic control, and tying remuneration more closely to results. These ideas testify to the political and professional maturity of our working class and intelligentsia.
In factories, plants, agricultural cooperatives and service enterprises there is a greater readiness to face the difficulties of the times and move forward at higher speeds. This is the right path to strengthen our socialist economy and to ensure better fulfillment of the country’s needs.
