LET US SPEED UP THE WHEAT HARVEST
In 11 districts of the coastal areas and Myzeqe, the climate will favor the start of harvesting. On the other hand, the 13 days of July will increase readiness for the campaign in the hilly areas. In the lowland and coastal zone, nearly 20 thousand hectares of bread grain have already been harvested. The progress of work in several districts of this zone shows us that readiness for the harvest-and-threshing campaign is increasing. In districts such as Lushnja, Fier, Durrës, work is being carried out at a faster pace. There are agricultural cooperatives and farms that started work on time, created the necessary conditions, put all forces and equipment into operation and these days are reaping the first good results.
But alongside the results, there are still delays and shortcomings. There are districts, agricultural cooperatives and farms that have not entered the campaign at the same pace, have not organized their forces properly, have not secured all the equipment, transport, collection points, and the full repair of the harvesting and threshing machines in time. This means that in some places precious time is being lost. It must be clearly understood that there is no room for complacency. This campaign requires full mobilization, strict organization, and the wise use of every minute of the day, in order to avoid losses and ensure the timely gathering of the country's bread.
In every cooperative and farm, the tasks for the brigades, for the mechanizers, for transport, and for the collection points must be clearly defined. There must be continuous control, daily follow-up of the plan, verification of the quality of the work, and high labor discipline. The local government bodies, the party and front organizations, and the leading forums of the cooperatives and farms must be at the forefront of this battle for bread, and must not allow any display of carelessness or delay.
In the areas where ripening is more advanced, all forces must be brought in, while in those where harvesting has just begun, everything must be done to make the best possible use of the remaining time. With proper planning and a high sense of responsibility, the wheat harvest can and must be completed on time and without losses.
With better organization, even more can be achieved
SARANDË
In the southernmost corner of the country, 1,300 tons of grain have now been harvested, and the progress of the grain work is becoming increasingly evident. Leaders of cooperatives, specialists, cadres and workers have been engaged to follow, hour by hour, the pace of harvesting and transport. In the cooperative of Xarra, the harvest has been set on the right path. The help and supervision of the local government bodies have created conditions for the work to proceed without losses.
On the other hand, there are also centers where organization leaves much to be desired. The harvesters are not being used at full capacity, transport is delayed, and collection points are not always ready. These shortcomings call for greater attention and immediate measures so that no good day is lost.
Everywhere it is necessary to strengthen technological discipline, to follow every plot responsibly, and to increase the role of the specialist in decision-making. Only in this way will the first good results be consolidated and the campaign will move forward in line with requirements.

The grain has begun to ripen
The rise in temperatures and the improvement in weather conditions have caused the grain to begin ripening in several agricultural enterprises in Vlore. Preparations for the campaign have been closely followed, and many cooperatives have put the harvesters, transport and service units on standby. In some areas the work has entered a good rhythm.
However, it remains necessary to make use of every working hour, not to leave any plots unchecked, and to avoid delays in transport and collection. The leading structures must be at the forefront of the work and be responsible for the implementation of the measures.

The harvest is moving at a good pace
DIBËR
The experience so far in several agricultural enterprises of this district shows that with good organization it is possible to successfully overcome the difficulties posed by the rough terrain and the scattered plots. Measures have been taken to repair equipment, supply fuel and activate all labor forces. The harvest is moving at a good pace in several sectors.
In others, work has fallen behind because of weaknesses in management and control. Greater responsibility and closer monitoring of the situation on the ground are needed.

COOPERATIVE WITHOUT LIVESTOCK
EXCITES ATTENTION
To grow, or what is to be done? For the situation to be set on the right path, responsibility for a solution cannot be sought far away. It lies first and foremost in the hands of those who lead and organize the work in the cooperative. In a village in the Librazhdi district, livestock has fallen to an unacceptable level. The indicators for meat production, milk, and herd growth do not meet the requirements, while the food base remains weak.
The cooperative has land, has pastures and meadows, has the possibility to produce more fodder, but does not make proper use of its reserves. The organization of work remains weak, control over the implementation of measures is insufficient, while responsibilities are often lost in generalities. There is a need for a rapid turnaround, for correct decisions and for persistent implementation.
If work is done differently, there are real possibilities for livestock to grow and for supplies to improve. Measures must be taken for the food base, for improving breeds, for veterinary care and for better use of every production capacity.
