IT IS NOT TOO EARLY TO PREPARE FOR 1 SEPTEMBER...

- A conversation of our editor Avdil Dula with leading officials of the Ministry of Education - We will not fully understand the great work of this sector without first making an effort. At the very least, because of the noise and the students, which also lead to the rapid wear and tear of the inventory. Special attention is being given to the preparations for the 1 September celebration. More and more each day, schools and students are becoming the focus of attention of central and local bodies and institutions. In this context, our conversation with officials from the Ministry of Education is connected with the preparations for the new school year. It is appropriate to say that the experience gained over the years and the responsibilities arising from the latest decisions give this work particular importance. In this framework, we first asked comrade Hysni Ajeti, secretary in the Ministry of Education: how are the preparations for 1 September going? He emphasized that the work had begun on time. Detailed programmes and tasks have been drawn up for every direction. Instructions have been sent to municipal education bodies for repairing school buildings, ensuring heating, furnishing and supplying teaching materials. Alongside this, work is also being done on the distribution of teaching staff and the placement of students, especially in areas where there is population movement. Textbooks were also discussed. According to our interlocutors, they are already in print or have entered the final stage of preparation. Measures have been taken for the books to reach the schools on time. Special care is being shown for first-grade pupils, for whom preparations are also being made on the pedagogical and psychological level. The Ministry has requested that school directorates ensure cleanliness, order and the normal functioning of classrooms, laboratories and workshops. According to the officials we spoke with, particular care is also being devoted to maintaining discipline and order in school environments. We also addressed the need for greater cooperation with families and social organizations. Preparation for 1 September is not only a matter for the school, but for society as a whole. This requires greater help from communes, enterprises, Front organizations and parents themselves. In the end, our interlocutors expressed their conviction that, with persistent work and responsibility, the new school year will begin well. (Continues on page 4)
