Talks between the government delegations
Yesterday, at the headquarters of the Council of Ministers, the official talks took place between the government delegation of the Republic of Albania, headed by Adil Çarçani, and the government delegation of the Republic of Greece, headed by Prime Minister Konstantin Mitsotakis.
At the beginning of the talks, Prime Minister Adil Çarçani extended a warm welcome to Prime Minister Konstantin Mitsotakis and the members of the delegation accompanying him.
Then, the head of the Albanian delegation, Adil Çarçani, gave an overview of the overall economic, social and cultural situation and development of Albania. He noted that the process of democratization and reform of the country's life, in line with the concrete conditions and national interests, is one of the main directions of the activity of the Albanian Party and state.
In his speech, Greek Prime Minister Konstantin Mitsotakis gave an overview of Greece's economic and political development, as well as the views of the Greek government on bilateral relations and on other issues of common interest.
During the talks, the delegations exchanged views on bilateral relations and assessed that they have entered a new and important stage. In this framework, both sides expressed readiness to expand economic, trade, cultural, scientific and technical cooperation, as well as to strengthen contacts in other fields.
The talks also dealt with regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The talks took place in an atmosphere of friendship and understanding.

JOINT ALBANIAN-GREEK COMMUNIQUÉ
During the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Greece, Mr. Konstantin Mitsotakis, to the Republic of Albania, at the invitation of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Comrade Adil Çarçani, talks were held between the delegations of the two countries.
The talks took place in a friendly and sincere atmosphere. Both sides assessed them as useful and expressed the conviction that they would contribute to the further development of relations between our two countries and peoples.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the progress made in Albanian-Greek relations and reaffirmed their will to develop them on the basis of the principles of respect for independence, sovereignty, equality, non-interference in internal affairs and mutual benefit.
The importance of expanding economic, trade, cultural and scientific-technical cooperation was emphasized. In this context, readiness was expressed to encourage broader links between the relevant institutions and organizations of the two countries.
The parties also exchanged views on developments in the Balkans and in Europe, as well as on other international issues of common interest.
Prime Minister Konstantin Mitsotakis expressed his thanks for the warm reception and hospitality shown to him and to the delegation accompanying him during his stay in Albania.
