LET GO OF DEMANDS THAT DO NOT REPRESENT THE FEELINGS OF THE PEOPLE
TELEGRAM
TO COMRADE RAMIZ ALIA SECRETARY OF THE CC OF THE PPSH
The executive committee and the workers of the copper mines of Rubik, with deep concern, have learned that in the conditions of democratization of life in the country and political pluralism, some demands have been raised by a part of the youth that run counter to the program of the Party of Labor of Albania and conflict with the feelings of the majority of our people.
They not only do not represent the wishes of the broad masses of our workers, but also seriously undermine the great achievements and successes of socialism, above all the stability of the socialist order, which were fulfilled with so much sacrifice and blood in the struggle for national liberation and the building of socialism in our country.
We demand that stricter measures be taken against those who organize these actions, so that they do not happen again. We are in favor of the further democratization of the country, but this must be done within the framework of socialism and not destroy it, as is being demanded by a part of the students.

Adil Faco from Rubik
These two images were captured by photojournalist Niko Xhufi last Saturday and Sunday in Tirana, where a demonstration for our student movement is taking place. A peaceful and disciplined protest, for which our young people deserve the highest praise. In the picture above, the bust of Stalin in the little square opposite the building of Qyteti Studenti. In the picture below, the leading student, Ilir Hoxha, about whom the foreign press writes completely fabricated and illiterate names, something both laughable and heartbreaking at the same time. 12.2.1991

The alarm bells in agriculture are ringing
.
The policy of freeing and distributing land and of economic reform is moving forward. Many cooperatives across the country continue to raise their voices that property and working tools must be protected. People in the countryside are calling for firm measures for production, for market supply, and for securing bread. In the difficult winter conditions, every negligence brings consequences. These days require more work, more responsibility, and discipline.
