Comrade Ramiz Alia Received the Italian Parliamentary Delegation

Yesterday morning, Comrade Ramiz Alia received the Italian parliamentary delegation headed by the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament, Christian Democrat MP Alfredo Biondi. Also present at the reception was the Ambassador of Italy to our country, Mario Bova. In this context, he stressed that the visit is an expression of Italy’s interest in developments in Albania and in strengthening relations between the two countries. Comrade Ramiz Alia expressed satisfaction with the further development of Albanian-Italian relations and pointed out that they have traditionally been good, but now there are new opportunities to expand them in all fields. He highly valued the assistance that Italy has given Albania in difficult periods and spoke in favor of intensifying economic, trade, cultural and scientific cooperation. For his part, the head of the Italian delegation, Alfredo Biondi, thanked him for the warm welcome and praised the new spirit that is characterizing developments in Albania. He said that Italy is following the democratic changes in our country with interest and wishes to contribute to strengthening good-neighborly relations and broad cooperation.
