DECLARATION OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF THE PARTY OF LABOUR

Our people, seriously and wisely, with the strength that characterizes them, have faced a series of problems and difficulties. They are in favor of the country’s democratic development, but not anarchy. They want a better life, but not the destruction of the victories achieved with many sacrifices. Demands for change and reform must be made peacefully, without violence and without thoughtless actions. At these moments, when our country is facing difficult situations, it is the duty of every citizen, every communist, every honest person to preserve order, calm, and stability. The Party of Labour calls for maturity, self-restraint, and unity. Any act that undermines constitutional order, social property, and the lives of people is unacceptable. State and social bodies must act with high responsibility, while citizens must avoid provocations and hostile incitements. Our people have shown in difficult times that they know how to defend their homeland, their freedom, and their dignity. Today too, political and civic maturity is required. The Central Committee of the Party of Labour calls on all communists, workers, peasants, the intelligentsia, and the youth to be vigilant and to contribute to overcoming the situation that has arisen. Only with calm, work, and responsibility can we move forward.
