Desolation is not everywhere
A look at three districts, at today’s and agriculture’s tasks
Numerous references accompany all the meetings and discussions taking place these days. Everyone is clear that without work and without production there is neither normal life nor assurance of supplies for today’s and tomorrow’s market. In this sense, too, the word of the Kosovo Assembly, the appeal and the commitments arising from it, are a necessary guide for every person and every collective.
In many places work is under way. Somewhere with difficulty, somewhere with better organization. In several agricultural enterprises and cooperatives, as well as in individual farms, spring work has begun, preparations for sowing are being made, seeds, chemical fertilizer and fuel are being secured. There are also setbacks, but examples of dedication are not lacking.
On this page we present some field observations of what is being done and what needs to be done more quickly.
The presidential council met
POLITICAL NEWS
Yesterday the regular meeting of the Presidential Council was held. It examined issues related to the current political situation and to the obligations arising from recent developments. The need for calm, for the preservation of order, and for the involvement of all social entities in the effort to stabilize the situation was emphasized.
The meeting also discussed contacts with relevant actors and the need for better coordination of actions in the days ahead.

What does the evidence say?
In conversations with workers, specialists, and managers of agricultural enterprises, the question often arises as a concern: where are the reserves and how can they be better used? The evidence, they say, clearly points to uncultivated areas, lack of discipline in work, and insufficient organization.
If every day is lost without work, the consequences will be evident in the harvest season. That is why greater mobilization of everyone is required.
The first order — discipline
— In the life and economy of these days, discipline is emerging as the first condition for overcoming difficulties. On the farm, in the cooperative, in the workshop and in the enterprise, everyone must know their duty and carry it out on time.
Lack of discipline, delays, carelessness with work tools, and shirking duties are costing dearly. This is especially true for spring work, where every day is precious.

Talks at the Prime Ministry
Talks were held at the Prime Ministry with representatives of several economic sectors regarding supply, transport, and measures to overcome the current difficulties. It was assessed that without an increase in production and without work discipline there can be no rapid improvement.
