He said that the Albanian people will know how to choose wisely the path of progress, democracy and stability. The American senators and congressmen thanked him for the reception and expressed their satisfaction with the contacts they are having in Albania. They showed interest in the electoral process, economic reforms, issues of political pluralism, and Albanian-American relations. The conversation was conducted in a spirit of understanding and mutual respect.

Response to the newspaper «RD» The loud, all at once, passions for waving flags that the motherland has raised with the blood of its sons cannot fail to arouse anger. In an article in the newspaper «RD», titled «Free Shkodra», several claims and distortions have been made that do not correspond to the truth. It is not right to use national symbols for narrow political purposes. The national flag belongs to everyone and no one can monopolize it. (ATSH)
