FREE AND PLURALIST ELECTIONS – AN EXPRESSION OF DEMOCRACY

The Party of Labour is bound to, strengthened by, and protected by the people Yesterday marked the closing of the electoral campaign in our country. The parliamentary elections of 31 March are approaching. They will determine Albania's fate, its political future, for several years to come. For that reason, they are at the center of the attention of the entire population. Everyone understands that every vote cast matters, because it is an expression of the free will of citizens. Different political forces are taking part in these elections. Our people, wise and mature, know how to assess programs, candidates, and the path that serves Albania best. The Party of Labour of Albania presents itself to the electorate with high responsibility, with its historical record and with its program for the future. The Party of Labour of Albania is the political force that was born from the people, grew through their hardships, sacrifices, and blood, and has tied its own destiny to the destiny of the homeland. It led the National Liberation War, rebuilt the country after liberation, developed industry, education, and culture, and defended national independence. The people know this history and know that this party is not separate from them, but part of their social and political being. Today our country is going through a difficult but also important period. Democratic changes have become a reality. Political pluralism is a fact. This requires maturity, calm, and civic responsibility. The PPSH enters these elections with the conviction that the people will know how to make the right choice, by supporting the political force that has the experience, organization, and responsibility to lead the country out of difficulties and forward. A vote for the Party of Labour is a vote for stability, for order, for development, for the protection of broad popular interests. It is a vote for a democratic, independent, calm Albania with perspective. The people have shown at all times that they know how to distinguish between empty words and real work, between adventure and responsibility, between demagoguery and service to the homeland. On election day, let every citizen go with a high conscience to the ballot box and freely express their will. This is both a right and a civic duty. May the elections of 31 March be a test of our civility, our political maturity, and our commitment to democracy. The people will decide. And their decision will be a decision for Albania.
