Yesterday, in many cities and districts of the country, the Albanian people showed maturity and calm. This is the only wise and useful path for everyone. Information coming from many parts of the country shows that our people are avoiding provocations and keeping calm. However, what is worrying in this situation are certain irresponsible statements and positions that do not serve stability. Particularly striking is the statement by a section of the Democratic Party, which instead of calming the situation, is pouring fuel on the fire. This statement calls for strikes, disobedience and other actions that could have serious consequences for the country. This is unacceptable and harmful to the national interest. Our people need calm, work and understanding. All political forces must show responsibility and not further inflame the situation. Every hasty action, every careless word, can have serious consequences. Albania needs order, legality and social understanding. We call on all citizens to keep their cool and not fall prey to provocations. We also call on the political forces to act with maturity, responsibility and a strong sense of nationhood.
